I regret to inform all of you that some members of the popular YouTube channel TeamFourStar, namely Little Kuriboh, Kirbopher, and SuperPsyguy, have been accused of abuse.

He also retweeted some other guy I assume is Team 4star related:

It's too late at night for me to read through this all right now, I therefore do not have any opinion.

Sucks that this is happening. I can't exactly take a side, but I'll see how this plays out. But if this is true, then it's going to be the Channel Awesome/TGTWTHG disaster all over again.

You start to wonder if you can trust any YouTuber at this point, either a group or individual. Feels like this happens way too often

Too much text, actually. Not good content for the average bystander. I think the target audience is supposed to already know these guys professionally or from "the scene" and the testimonies bring it all together or something. The point is that some people working together *know* that there is some coworker or associate who is a dirtbag in their private life but continue to freely associate with them, and I guess if that goes on for long enough it's grounds to blame them for covering stuff up.

Creative work online seems to require a lot of less formal cooperation compared to working for a company. It's understandable that people want to keep associating with other creators if it's mutually beneficial. It's also understandable they don't terminate those relationships quickly, because naturally the accused person will get defensive and make every excuse under the sun, downplaying and gaslighting forever if they can. You give them the benefit of the doubt and it won't become your business until the big drama event should that ever come. For example it's possible that at some point they'll tell you that they've cleaned up their act, but actually they are only more careful about what they reveal.

I also suspect that this sort of enterprise can go from one or two people mucking about to a company that needs rules and oversight and procedures without the people involved noticing.

But then proper companies are hardly immune to this sort of thing either.

I think it might be a downside to content created by ''the average joe''. If they become famous enough they acquire a level of fame and relative power they aren't equipped to handle. For actors they always have the company, agent or community manager between them and the audience, but a youtuber has to manage the community themselves and might quickly get corrupted due to it.

The corruption already likely exists within them as well, and having that fame and closeness to the audience only helps bring it out. It's just a shame it seems to happen so much, especially with the content creators we all really enjoy. I still don't really watch JonTron cause of the views he put out or ProJared cause of the weirdness that happened with him, and I'd be sad to have to put TFS on that list as well

I don't even know who these people are.

Outside of Atrioc (who I think got on my feed because of Hitman videos) who got in trouble for like fake porn or something, not a single Youtuber I watch has been involved is any kind of shit.

Just wait. It'll come out eventually.
