Song: "Shape of you"
Artist: Ed Sheeran
Release date: 6 January 2017
Genre: Dance-Hall Pop
Chart success?: It's Ed Sheeran, What do you think?

Notes: I don't know if I like Ed Sheeran. He seems like a nice guy, kinda boy band nice. The type where you don't know if they are hiding something dark and terrifying inside them or if they were born with no hate in their body.

That and every song he releases sticks to the charts like a fucking leach, [I still hear thinking out loud. which I may review some day]. The main reason is that he's so in-offensive that radio station will play it and continue his chart success. And "Shape of you" is no different.

First, It's an other fucking Dance-hall Pop song. Like the charts don't have many dance hall as it is. And it's about Ed having sex and talking about it in song. While the music video is about him sumo wrestling and falling in love with his trainer,[Not really related but it's worth a mention at least]. The beat is pretty much a Sia song, but the back up vocals are replaced with claping and bongos, To a hypnotic and boring state.

And Since it's good ol' Ed, Fan girls will be eating this up till summer. And Uk people will never hear the end of ed since big chunks of Divide are on the Uk charts and don't seem to be leaving. And the worst part is that Divide had better songs, Like Galloway girl and castle on the hill. Yet this trend hopping boring mess of a song keeps holding onto #1 while other decent songs are stuck at #2 or #3 even.

2/5 It only follows trends, and does nothing to change them up or make any difference. Kinda like a futuristic COD game, Nothing different. Just more of the same.

Side note: Minus little Yachty's verse, Ispy isn't that bad. We need more happy rap in the charts right now. Everyone's all sad and depressed.

Uhh, I'm a twenty-seven year old American man and I really dig the song, so come at me

It's got a catchy beat and the lyrics are totally on point. From "Everything is covered in something brand new" to the whole bit about being on a date and "talk for hours and hours about the sweet and the sour and how your family is doing okay" I'll catch myself singing it to myself when I'm at work, and I'll feel good because it's at nice upbeat song about a new relationship. It's honestly everything I want in a pop song

I'm in a new relationship myself and the song perfectly describes how I feel right now. So yeah, your opinion is totally wrong

Oh, So having opinions is wrong somehow?

Honestly if you like it, that's fine. But I think it had it's run on the charts and it's starting to get annoying. Real fast.

I don't think the song is upbeat. The claping and slow pace holds it back. Along with Ed's voice feeling kinda empty. He has done better vocals. Hell as much as I hate thinking out loud it still has him play with his voice, even slightly.

That and as much as little Vachty's verse is bad, Along with the "wait, forever mean forever never mind" line Ispy is much more enjoyable to me. Mainly due to the piano line and it [for me atleast] being a lot more upbeat than shape of you.

And again, if you like it that's fine. I'm just sick of having to hear it for 14 weeks straight. No song stays good forever, and burn out already hit me with this song.

Also can we all agree that Chainsmoker's "Closer" Needs to leave the top 40 and die out? It's been 37 weeks and I'm starting to see mold.
