That song almost brings tears to my eyes, it's so epic. I know "epic" is overused, but to me this song is epic in the truest sense of the word.

This is one of the saddest pieces of music ever written, in my opinion:

Jethro Tull: Acre's Wild

Rainbow: 16th Century Greensleeves

Fun fact! Did you know that Jethro Tull's lead vocalist/flautist, Ian Anderson's, daughter is married to Andrew Lincoln, the wee fella who plays Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead? Personally, I think that makes him cool. Andrew Lincoln, I mean. Ian Anderson has been pretty damn snazzy since the early 60s.

EDIT: Also these:

Rainbow: Temple of the King

Jethro Tull: Kelpie

I like it so much I want to hear more of this musician. However, I'm too busy listening to this to find anything else!

On the side of video games, here's a recent release.

This thread really illustrates how variable the term "intense", "powerful", and "epic" can be interpreted. Some of your videos I've found rather dull, others I've found rather powerful in ways I wouldn't expect, others I would describe as utter shit. As a result, I will give an example I would use for each word:

Intense (watch in 720p with good speakers):

Epic:

Powerful:

I am not an avid listener to dubstep, Coheed and Cambria, or My Chemical Romance. These songs simply instill these emotions in me. There are plenty more, but music is as varied as it is objective.

This game was buggy and frustrating as hell but the soundtrack is too epic to ignore!
You guys dunno how pissed I was about how it was used in the third Transformers movie...
I still can't watch the ending of this movie without welling up thanks to this track.

There's way more than these came from, too.

To be honest, I think this thread isn't specific enough because its not clear about whether or not by "intense" and "powerful" you mean music that proclaims that someone is all-powerful or an epic hero, like most everying by Two Steps from Hell ("Heart of Courage" is a prime example of why I like them.), any song by Dragonforce (I like "The Last Journey Home."),

or emotionaly intense or powerful like "My Immortal" by Evenescence, most songs involving love sung by Josh Groban ("Remember When it Rained" is my current favorite.), or the love theme from Dragon Age,

or situationaly intense or powerful like almost any final boss music anywhere (Like "The Greatest Jubilee" from Bayonetta), a movie soundtrack (like the music from "Star Wars" by John WIlliams), or a song about death/doomsday/insanity (like "One" by Metallica),

because my answer will vary depending upon what you are talking about, and since this list is too large I cannot post links and is forced to pray that everyone here knows that Youtube hosts music too,

but I can have an excuse to place one of the largest sentences ever used in an internet forum for kicks praying that somebody has noticed that despite the spaces this is still one long sentence with a ton of commas.
