Bomango is awesome! To be honest though I liked Gogo a more around the time Didi was growing out of her (obviously not exactly when), she just seems to get buffer and buffer as time passes.
I have to admit, I haven't been following the comic for that long. I believe the first part of it that I've read or at least the one that got me hooked was this one right here.

Where she pretty much already had her current design which is why the older segments with skinny Gogo seem a bit weird to me, also because the artstyle in general has changed pretty significantly since then. Van Heists earlier style looked a lot more anime-y and Gorillaz-y.

What latest anime is this funny guy from?
He is from Akame ga Kill. A pretty good series so far, currently streaming on Crunchyroll.

Thanks, I'm going to give this a look! It looks entertaining judging from those screenshots. I love to see Japan still hasn't lost their love for guys with banana hair.
Hehe, you might be getting something a bit different to your expectations if those screenshots are all you know of it. It is good though, you should watch it.

Bahahahaha I love how this is your first thread since becoming an admin. I believe the last waifu thread was this one [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.839499-Who-is-Your-Waifu] I did early in the year and it went pretty well. My waifus haven't changed since then though so I'm gonna shamelessly copy and paste my previous post.

Aigis from Persona 3. Over the course of that game you see her transform from an inhuman machine into a warm, caring and dedicated individual who is willing to do anything to protect her friends. When she finds out she has a sister who is in trouble, she goes all out trying to save and protect them, even though she hadn't even met them before. She is strong, brave and utterly adorable.

[sub][sub]Yes I know she's a robot, no I don't care so shut up! :p[/sub][/sub]

Lilly from Katawa Shoujo. Playing her story... no spoilers, but it was incredible. No game, anime or movie romance had such a profound impact on me. I played her story third (out of five) and I had to leave the game for two weeks just to recover from it.

As for yours Elf, I'm not familiar with either but the first one is super cute. Not a big fan of the second since I'm not that into hugely proportioned boobs.

You, sir, win this thread, though I'm more of a giant slug man myself.

I don't really like the term waifu, but I guess I'll throw in naoto. I thought she was one of the better written characters in an already impressive game. Chie is right up there, though.

Not really a "waifu" but I was always rooting for tifa to come out on top in ff7. Once you get past some of the silly character design choices (a skirt?) she's a great character. It didn't quite come out the way anyone hade hoped, though.

I just realized I apparently have a thing for androgynous women. Oh well, you can keep your princess. I like some attitude myself.

Edit: I'm not sure why this came out as two seperate quotes, but this stuff goes over my head, so I'll just apologize for the extra quote :p

Any self respecting anime fan has one.
Yes, because you clearly have so much self respect that you have obsess about some fictional character. Clearly. *note my sarcasm because you clearly can't have much self respect if you obsess over a fictional character*

It's because of people like you and shit like this that make me ill-at-ease when letting people know i like anime. This 'waifu' shit is damn pathetic. I mean really. I'll freely admit that my all time favorite character is Alkaid from .hack//G.U. because she has the traits i like in a woman, but she's just a character. I'd love to meet a woman like her, but i'm not gonna obsess over some fictional character. If someone insults said character or doesn't like said character, i don't care because it's just a character and it's just their opinion. I had to deal with too much of this bullshit with people in high school who were obsessed with certain characters from a certain anime to the point where they wouldn't date people, i know because me and other guys had tried to date them and they explained that they couldn't date people, because they would feel like they were cheating on the FICTIONAL FUCKING CHARACTERS.
Oh, I don't know, is it so much worse than having a celebrity crush? I have a thing for Natalie Portman, but that doesn't mean I actually think I could ever date her. Most people have one, but they've never met their celebrity crush, and if they did then the person would probably be totally different then they imagine. Yet I've never met someone who hasn't had a celebrity crush at some point. You're far too passionate about this.

I had a huge crush on Velma Dinkley and Lilly Munster when I was growing up.

Looking at the girls I've dated I can safely say that those childhood crushes severely effected my adult romantic relationships.

God dammit! I join this thread as a casual lurker, not expecting anything notable because generally anime doesn't do it for me. Then I scroll down, see this delicious looking young man, and I'm blushing and experiencing things in the lower regions not suitable for discussion on internet forums.

You have a very excellent husbando. I'm embarrassed.. AHEM. Time to regain my composure and post in here proper. Ladies and gentlemen, my husbando. It's Lee Sin.

Look he's not an anime. I totally get that but.. come on! He has everything I'd like in a man! Disciplined, mysterious, physically fit, and having no eyes thanks to a severe accident that caused his eyes to melt out of his skull leaving nothing but empty sockets that he covers using a blindfold! Y'know, all of the things people fantasize about.

There he is at the beach. Doesn't he look so relaxed? Wait what is he doing to that woman to the right... NO LEE STOP RIGHT NOW YOU'RE BREAKING MY HEART.

My original waifu: 18.

I could totally steal her away from Krillin, that bald bugger only got her by default. She has to keep the shoulder-length hair though, the later cut isn't very good :(

My new Saltybet-based waifu: Jam from Guilty Gear

Technically it was Robo-Jam who won me my first tournament on there, but I'm only willing to go Android, not full robot. Anyway, She's just a woman who wants to have a restaurant who keeps getting it burned down. She's a hard-luck loser like me. I sympathize with the fight to reach your dreams. Plus again, winning me a bunch of fake internet money goes a long way.

The number of 12 year old looking girls in here is a little unsettling. Good to know that anime's tendencies of sexualizing any character who's taken their first steps into puberty is paying off. Now I just have to decide whether this is better than or worse than these two graphs I stumbled upon today.

She's been mentioned before, but the Northern Wall of Briggs certainly deserves another mention.

Why yes, I DID choose the most attractive image of her

I've always been partial to Red's character design too.

In no small part due to my being a huge fan of Jen Zee's style
