In relation to the article he considers himself a hardcore gamer but he plays on of the most casual games on the PC platform, Civ IV. There are Wii games that are more hardcore than that. Don't get me wrong, I like Civ IV, but I would not list it as one of the games I play to prove I'm a hardcore gamer.

Contraversial opinion here: I disliked Shia after what he did to Indy and Transformers (horrible films), but with this, he claws back some kudos. Not that I hate the Wii (it has its moments), but I do admire that he speaks his mind like this.

These comments are his opinion, and every person has 'em. Famous people just the the 'privilege' to spout it into a microphone, and we get the 'privilege' of getting it thrown in our faces by every media out-let who thinks we care about what actors think.
