Doesn't matter if it's a gaming computer or not. I wish to see how everyone else's PCs are faring. Mine is a bit weird, I just finished cleaning it up with a vacuum cleaner and it's still overheating like a ************. It's also very noisy.

It's a 2 year old PC by the way.

Also, does anyone have any ideas on how to reduce noise/temperature?

I bought the computer 3 years ago and I upgrade something every summer. This year its my graphics card and my monitor. I honestly think the motherboard is the only original piece of hardware I have in this thing!

Piriform Speccy is what it's called. From those guys who made CCleaner I believe.

There's other programs to check PC specs as well, but this is the one I got to first.

Just purchased parts for a new PC this morning.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU: Intel i5 2500k Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz(Over-clocked to 3.7 out of the box I believe) Quad-Core.
GPU: GeForce GTX 570 HD 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z86 (can't remember the fancy details)
Memory: : G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1333 DDR3 (had 1600, but it sold out on NewEgg last night apparently.)
Hard-Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB
Power-Supply: CORSAIR 950W
Audio: Realtek ALC889(integrated on motherboard)
Optical: Some ASUS DVD Drive, nothing special.

Given that I'm on a 7 year old PC at the moment, this thing is going to feel godly.

For lulz, when I get home if I remember to, I'll update this with the old PC's specs as well.

GPU: 1GB 5770 Sapphire @ 930MHz
CPU: AMD Phenom II 3.2GHz quad core black edition
4GB RAM
300GB SATA hard-drive 5400rpm
1TB SATA hard-drive 7200rpm
Motherboard: ASUS M4A77T
700W PSU
3 chassis fans; one intake, two out

On reducing temperature, please for the love of Luna don't have it in a cupboard. You can also take the side of the case off if you have bad airflow; this usually increases the noise but can decrease it if the fans are able to slow down enough.

Yay, I love typing out my PC specs. I started building it at the end of last year and it's just about complete now:

Intel Core i7 950 3.07GHz @ 4.2GHz - HyperThreading enabled.
- Prolimatech Megahalems Heatsink w/ 2 Scythe Kaze 1200rpm fans in push/pull config.
ASUS P6X58D-E mobo
6 GB Mushkin Ridgeback Black DDR3 16000MHz RAM @ 6-8-6-24
EVGA GTX 570 @ 850/1700/2000
Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rpm HDD
Thermaltake Toughpower MkII 875W PSU
Coolermaster HAF 932 w/ stock fans.

LG FLATRON W2261V 1080p monitor

Just want BF3 to come out and totally take my system to the cleaners, haha.

Seriously it's a piece of shit.

I can't even run stalker.

I can't play STALKER either, but that's because it crashes every time I go to the gamesettings.

Sometimes I am just so tempted to switch over to consoles.
