Signed Zero Punctuation Poster Winners Announced!



Greetings Escapists, I am pleased to announce the conclusion of our Zero Punctuation signed poster giveaway on Facebook!

Last week, we here at The Escapist cracked open the vault and dug up the last ten remaining Zero Punctuation Imp posters, signed by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw himself, and asked ourselves "what could be a better than winning this, for free? Nothing!" Thus, we decided that these gems should gather dust in their coffers no more! Especially not when we can give them away to you, our awesome community. Utilizing our Facebook page, we finally did just that.

Lovingly designed by The Escapist staff, this 11" x 17" poster commemorates some of the funniest one-liners and most on-point comments from the Zero Punctuation videos, arranged into a mosaic in the shape of the memorable imp/slash design of the Zero Punctuation Logo.

While thousands made their bid for this extremely shiny trinket, ten (10) winners were chosen at random. Congratulations to the victors!

There was probably a spike in the number of users that signed up just so they could win a poster. Which is still kinda crap, that they may have been watching Zero Punctuation for years, but never bothered to join in with the community.

I am sorta disheartened to not win one, though I'm not sure why. I guess I place Yahtzee on one of those pedestal positions. Not really a hero, roll model or idol, but better than the rest of the fuck wits shambling about outside my little bubble, so it's be nice to win such a thing.

I dont think theres any conspiricy going on...just random chance, theres no real reason to "select" newer users over old ones

plus being a longterm user doesnt nessicarly earn somone a higher privalge for this kind of thing

Im sure some might find the Idea of newcomer/"face book" plebs coming over to win prizes rather distasteful...but again, unless theres a conspiricy going on its jsut chance

We intentionally use a random winner generator for all our contest and prizes not based on skill to make sure no actual person is involved in "randomly" picking winners and accidentally factoring in subconscious bias. No conspiracy! Just computers

Methinks the thought is that "Hey, people made new accounts just for this, and because so many accounts are new some people might have made several accounts in order to increase their chances of winning!"

While I don't think that's what happened in actuality, I understand the frustration.

yep, definitely random and i've been on this site for years without winning anything. hardly ever post but i'm here every week to watch and read my favorite videos and articles/comics.
