I've been waiting for this game for a long time, but I have a feeling it'll suffer the fate of any non-CoD shooter these days and simply vanish after a few months. Between Treyarch and IW, they've got the shooter marketed cornered, and games like Singularity and Homefront (which I'm also antecipating) stand almost no chance.

I'm not sure, I haven't completed it yet, but I'm about 10 hours in and there isn't an end in sight.

But there's a multiplayer component as well, but I haven't tried that yet.
beat mod war2 then!
i dont have high hopes for mp, as they will have to remove most elements to make it accessible for multiple people. how snipe happy would it be if you could just sit in a dark corner hitting people miles away with that bullet control thing?
if it has a really well designed mp, with progression and stuff, it might be woth a few hours, but this is a game for the single player!
got any ideas of what yahtzee might say? provided he reviews this, he might go for another E3 thing
He'll probably praise the 'time-control' but end up criticising it for not being more applicable in gameplay and then, if the past is anything to go on, a dick joke to wrap it up.
i didnt know there was anything more than that to life :)
thanks, im seriously considering getting this now, over MoH and CODBO

looked up the homefront trailer

looks to mess up the resistance genre in the same way red faction did - by calling it "resistance", but instead of laying mines, passing information and trying to recruit help, what the resistance WOULD do, its big open shootouts with heavy weapons
what did do resistance well? freedom fighters. go look it up, if you dont know it. IO interactive made Kane and Lynch: Dog Days instead of FF2, out of a fear of making too much money
no joke - the guy said "you dont have as great equipment"
as a jeep firing rockets at your command rolled passed. its at about 1:24
looks to be a great shooter wearing the flismy mask of premise

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance is still the best guerrilla simulator out there.

You probably should, but wait until there are some reviews including the multiplayer, I haven't gotten access to it yet, but the trailer I just saw made it look like Left 4 Dead crossed with CoD.

Besides MoH's beta is terribly broken right now, of course most of it will probably be fixed for the full game, but I don't have much faith in DICE doing anything right any more, since their last game is still unplayable.

i alway found dices multplayer games awkward. BF:BC1 just felt broken, snipers were so over powered. and the lack of a killcam sort of thing meant that you didnt even really have to hide.
that sounds good actually, 2 of my fav games combined! yeah ill wait for reviews

It seems to of gone unnoticed and i watched a couple of trailers and read previews and it seemed quite interesting. It come out here today in Britain (probably Europe too) and was wondering if anybody bought it and what they think of it.
I havent read all the responses but, this game deserves to be played, at least rented. If you like HL2 or Bioshock, this is definitely your style. You get a TMD which makes you feel like ironman/Gordon Freeman (Grav/Time Manipulation/air pulse/Haduken creater *blue timefield ball*). Also, the gun selection is pretty good and the story is quite interesting. In the first 5 mins of the game, I thought it would try to be a F.E.A.R (try hard horror game) but, it wasnt, with more running and gunning as the game progressed.

I got it about... 4 days ago. It is really fun but, was not that keen on the multiplayer as my addiction to TF2 always takes over.
