Surprisingly low. I am happy for this, at least it's now guaranteed to outsell oblivion pretty much.
Firstly stop ending everything with "eh?", it doesn't make you sound intelligent.Sober Thal said:Apes/monkeys/chimps are not sentient? Doesn't their sign language say otherwise? Isn't mating with them bestiality?Rex Dark said:What beastiality?Sober Thal said:The game condones bestiality... it should be adults only for the rating.
It seems like 'they' were right.... it does lead to these types of sick and disgusting life styles.
All of the races are sentient.
Well, aside from mudcrabs, rats, wolves... I assume.
I could be wrong about this, it's not like I have done first hand research here. I doubt you do either, but you do get what I'm saying, eh?
Rex Dark is screwing up his argument. He means sapience, not sentience.Sober Thal said:Apes/monkeys/chimps are not sentient? Doesn't their sign language say otherwise? Of course I didn't research it myself.Sober Thal said:Apes/monkeys/chimps are not sentient? Doesn't their sign language say otherwise? Isn't mating with them bestiality?Rex Dark said:What beastiality?Sober Thal said:The game condones bestiality... it should be adults only for the rating.

What are you talking about? Did I miss something?Sober Thal said:I have no idea what the BBFC is supposed to be, but if it also condones bestiality, then it can rot in hell. This kind of sick shit should be prohibited from entertainment industries.mad825 said:Actually, under the BBFC that's enough for the game to get banned in the UK.Sober Thal said:The game condones bestiality... it should be adults only for the rating.
The fact that kids are saying: "Herp derp, it's okay to fuck animals in my video games!" is really disgusting.
Shame on you all.
How about we follow the lines of it's a bloody game, you don't like certain things then don't sodding do them.Sober Thal said:It's the 'fucking lizard people, cat people, orc people' ect, that I'm talking about. Actually, it's more about the marriage that concerns me. Breeding between the species is kinda fucking wrong.
EDIT: To be honest tho, I do love that line in Brain Candy when they talk about a pig and a bat fucking for the sake of porn... classic.
EDIT 2: So if it can walk and talk, it's okay? What if it can communicate only with sign language? What if it was just a monkey/ape/chimp... is that okay too? lol... what a silly thread this is, what silly thing I am saying!! I still think the idea is fucking gross.
It's the law that Mass Effect games be 18+ in Norway? I'm not sure if I should denounce that as fiddly or find it awesome that a government made Mass Effect specific legislationchstens said:Really... Honestly? THIS is newsworthy? I mean, honestly. This must be an incredibly slow news day. "THINGS ARE DIFFERENT OUTSIDE THE US!" For the record, Mass Effect got an 18+ in Norway, and it had nothing to do with the "sex scenes", because, frankly, absolutely no-one cares about sex on TV, in video games or in movies, at least not in the same way that "you" do. Oh, and for the record, it's the law here as well.
Smartass, you are perfectly aware that I meant the age ratings.Hungry Donner said:It's the law that Mass Effect games be 18+ in Norway? Actually, having a BBFC rating over here protects games as art. The BBFC (or British Board of Film Classification) clearly sees games alongside films in terms of regulation. Movies and films have long been recognised as an artform, and the BBFC's belief that games fall into the same category is at the very least a vote of confidence. I don't know how rating works over the pond but over here it is just as illegal for a 12 year old to watch a 15 rated film as it is for the same kid to play an 15 rated game. And surely for games to be held up to the same standards as other artforms is what gamers are after.SenseOfTumour said:As for that, I agree, but unfortunately the US law was kinda tied up in a lot of other stuff, and if it was passed that we could legally enforce age limits, then it strips all gaming of its protection as 'art', and effectively reclassifies it in a category with pornography. (I could be entirely wrong here, feel free to correct me, but that's my understanding of it, I remember it being far more complicated than just 'legal age rating'.)
