Spoilers follow for the October 3rd episode of Smackdown.

Guys. There are new video games out, like Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor, or Super Smash Bros. 3DS. Why are you even reading this review? Why am I even writing it? Why am I watching Smackdown? I could be playing both of these (at the same time, because I am, like, totally awesome).
After the obligatory Raw flashback, Smackdown opens with John Cena. Cena doesn't make too many Smackdown appearances, so this is a "big deal," even if it really isn't. Cena rants about how he had Brock Lesnar beat at the last PPV, but Seth Rollins took that away from him. So that's why he's mad at Rollins. He wants a Cena/Rollins match tonight. Dean Ambrose comes out, who I'll remind you is not the same person as Seth Rollins, even if their generic entrance music might make you think that they are. Ambrose thinks Cena got in his way on Raw. Cena thinks Ambrose has no right to think he's the most important, because Cena faced Brock Lesnar. Okay? Cena keeps a level head and says they should form a truce. They're about to shake, but The Authority (minus Triple H and Stephanie) interrupts on the big screen. We're getting Orton/Kane vs. Ambrose/Cena tonight.
The Miz and Damien Sandow vs. Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus
I ... honestly wasn't really engaged with this. It felt like something we'd seen a dozen times before, even if we hadn't. There wasn't much to get excited about -- it didn't help that Sheamus was in for most of the early portion of the match -- and I was just kind of bored by it all. To be fair, I wasn't particularly "in" to this episode from the get-go, but this didn't help. Ziggler wins with his finisher.
Match Rating: **1/2
That Luke Harper vignette is shown right after the commercial break. We've seen it three times now. At least, we saw it twice on Raw and now one time on Smackdown. Was it shown on Main Event? Maybe.
Another flashback happens, and the show completely lost my attention. Luckily, we have a ... Divas match up next.
Paige (with Alica Fox) vs. Naomi
Before the match we get ANOTHER FLASHBACK. Because we haven't had enough of those.
Naomi gets one great high-flying spot in this match. Seriously, great. She leaped over the top rope from the ring, did a flip, and landed on Alicia Fox. She actually dominates for the entire match, only to be hit with a kick and a finisher. Paige makes Naomi tap out.
Match Rating: *1/2
AJ Lee comes out and attacks Alicia Fox after the match. She goes after Paige, but Paige runs away, hiding behind the announcer's table and wearing JBL's hat. AJ then laughs in the ring.
An hour into the show and we've had two matches. Goodness. Big Show is out next to apologize to Russia for letting its flag hit the ground on Raw. He gets interrupted by Lana and Rusev. Their upcoming match on Raw is hyped. People insult other people. Rusev eventually attacks Big Show with the flag, and then runs away before a retaliation could occur. Yawn.
Slater Gator (Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil, with Hornswoggle) vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
If you expected The Usos to lose, you're wrong. If you expected the Bunny to show up, you're right. The Bunny takes out Hornswoggle during the match. The Usos win. I think it's time to give up.
Match Rating: *1/2
Adam Rose comes out after the match to celebrate with the Bunny and The Usos.
Dean Ambrose is interviewed by Renee Young backstage. He refuses to hype the main event, and decides instead to talk about Seth Rollins.
Cesaro vs. R-Truth
Apparently R-Truth is no longer acting like "R-Ziggler." Well, good. It was already getting stale.
This match is not good. It is boring. We knew it would be a squash for Cesaro, and it was.
Match Rating: *1/2
Another Raw flashback comes before our main event. At least this one's about breast cancer awareness.
Kane and Randy Orton vs. John Cena and Dean Ambrose
A rematch from Raw. Are we supposed to care? It wasn't worth seeing on Monday, and it's not worth seeing on Friday. It's another DQ finish, too, with the faces picking up the win, because of course they do; they wouldn't get themselves disqualified, would they? Well, maybe Ambrose would. That could've furthered his feud with Cena, actually. Why didn't we do that, huh?
At least something happened. The match built to a hot tag to Cena, but Seth Rollins came out right as that tag was going to be made. So, Cena ran after him, leaving Ambrose alone. Eventually, Kane and Orton double team him.
But, this isn't going to fuel the feud, because Cena runs out for the save after Ambrose was beaten down.
Match Rating: **1/2
The Good: The main event, I guess?
The Bad: Paige vs. Naomi. Cesaro vs. Truth. Slater Gator vs. Usos.
Match of the Night: Kane and Randy Orton vs. John Cena and Dean Ambrose.
