So Black Mesa is (finally) out

Black Mesa released (well, most of it)


I don't know how to write this without sounding like a fanboy, but to be honest, I wasn't really aware of it's release and I was positively surprised. So for all of you there that are misinformed like me

After all the screenshots, video, short media silence and than some more screenshots, Black Mesa - an unofficial, fan-made remake of beloved Half Life is finally out (or at least the part of it). Mod is playable up to Lambda Core chapter (so no Xen), with promise of further ones being available via update.

It was talked about alot, the game sounds great but I'm waiting for it to come on steam.

Yeah, there were half a dozen threads about it on the first page up until...yesterday, I think. And that doesn't include the several threads about it finally being released. They had a giant timer on their website and everything.

In short, we know. Now I'll go back to playing it.

It's a fan made, professional-quality remake of Half-Life. It also redesigns the levels a bit and changes a few things around so it better fits into the continuity of Half-Life 2.
