So has there been games that graphically looked as good as Capcom's Deep Down?

Because Deep Down's engine was probably later turned into RE Engine used for Resident Evil 7 because as I said in my thread, that game's graphics blew me away, and I played a bunch of good looking games like Far Cry Primal and Vermintide.

I don't know. Is there a video of Deep Down that isn't advertisement?

What do you mean?
Sorry, I sounded a little mean. I meant that as the video is advertisement (and I have for principle to not evaluate graphical quality based on advertisement), I tried to ask if there is live gameplay video to watch.

None, but I do know for a fact that they claim the graphics you see in this trailer is in-game or this is how in game graphics in video games will look like, but its long been known this trailer is a techdemo for Capcom's new engine.

And I was saying that I think Resident Evil 7 looked as good as this Techdemo.

Standard PS4. Horizon: Zero Dawn is probably even better in some respects, but I don't really have many good screens of that. Others do though. [https://imgur.com/a/cgYLU]

Trailers and a handful of gameplay footage in ludicrously dark areas that mostly seems to be people filming screens on their phones.

Not really the benchmark to much of a call on.

So its just a Dark Souls clone?
They were quoted as saying a mix of Dragons Dogma and Dark Souls.

Deep Down is a single-player or (up to four player) co-op multiplayer dungeon crawl. Gameplay has been described as similar to both Capcom's own Dragon's Dogma; as well as the Dark Souls series
What that boils out too, who knows. Both games had stamina systems so that I guess. From the gameplay stuff it doesn't appear to use the combo mechanics or class/weapon variety of Dragons Dogma/Monster Hunter. But it also looks more complex then Dark Souls (though it has the same visual style somewhat) with actually aiming the pike and so on. Outside of the combat, its a procedurally generated co-op dungeon crawler.

It looks nice but I don't think this is the next Crysis or anything.

I really like that dragon fire though.
