Hellsing, definately Hellsing, also Black Lagoon, they're similarly violent, but more gun-focused

How did you finish watching claymore when they're still writing the manga?

I mean, is it a completely different story with a similar setting or something? I'm not trying to be a snooty weeaboo/hipster(hipaboo? weeaster?), I'm actually asking. The only stopping point i can actually think of in the story so far is when everyone dies.

Nurarihyon No Mago is nice. The first season might be a bit too slow, but second one is picking up quite nicely.

Seirei No Moribito is a slightly obscure one that has good animation quality and a nice fantasy setting.

Then I've got Broken Blade(Break Blade). Its good. Has anyone here seen it?

By the way, have you ever heard The Legend of Koizumi?

As far as I can remember, they just gave it a completely different ending as with most anime adaptations. I don't remember the specifics of that episode though, it's been awhile seen I first saw Claymore.

On topic: Since I can't think of any anime like Claymore to recommend I'd suggest checking out Eureka Seven if you're giant mechs.

A certain aspect of the anime bothered the hell out of me. They repeated everything , every time there was a fight. Their thoughts should not run for five minutes straight about something that happened that only lasted three seconds. "How can this be? She's turning into,...blah blah five minute inner monologue about something already previously mentioned each episode." All the while the Yoma and the Claymores are just staring at each other, breathing heavily. The fight could have been over by then. I've never seen an anime with inner monologue lasting that long (perhaps I've just been missing those each time I choose a new one to watch lol). Other then that, it's alright; I enjoyed the style.

As for a recommendation, have you seen Samurai Champloo? It's an older one as well. It's not similar (since it's based in Edo period Japan), but it's one of my favorites.
