You sir, are a fool.Azaraxzealot said:i read something on "Cracked" about how Anonymous actually issued death threats to an 11 year-old girl just because she called people on 4chan losers for requesting she strip.
after reading this, i honestly will not support ANYTHING Anonymous does and i hope they all get arrested, tried, and convicted of child abuse and attempted murder.
if it were up to me, i would string them up by their ankles and cut off their hands so they could be left to bleed out. and i mean ALL of them. Anonymous is not a silent defender, they are a obviously a group of bullies who occasionally throw temper tantrums when something dare threatens their freedom to post child pornography...
it's the sixth one down.

When it comes down to it, Anon is a group of trolls. Main deal with them is they are annoying as hell, and with them, there's a lot of them to contend with. The internet is a world where poor, pathetic losers like you and me can come to take out our frustrations in a place without real consequences. It's kinda like bullying, in that acknowledging them only encourages them.maddawg IAJI said:You could say the same thing about their recent DOS attacks. Its not the majority of Anon that is doing the attacks, but they're all willing to take credit when the time comes. While the majority did not send death threats, they did harass her endlessly. I'd say that alone is pretty evil.Gaderael said:See, while it was 'Anonymous' that sent the threats, it does not mean that it was all of 'Anonymous'. They're not a structured group, they're just a collective that gets together when something sparks their interest, or ire.
They're not all bad, just look at how they've torn a new one in Scientology's side over the years.

This guy was physically abusing his cat Dusty, he posted video's of himself tormenting the poor kitty on the Internet, Anon traced his IP address and sent the information to the local police and the man was promptly arrested on animal abuse charges.crudus said:Imagine if you were invisible. What would you do? You wouldn't use your power for pure good, but you probably wouldn't be purely evil either. More likely you would be Neutral or Chaotic Neutral.
No. Can you explain it?Haseo21 said:I second this notion.....Naheal said:This is normal for /b/, actually. I'm unsurprised by this.
BTW, who remembers Dusty? Anon showed their good side then right?
Ya, but we also shouldn't let people who want 10 year old girls to strip own a computer either. What I found funny is that 4Chan actually twisted the story to make themselves look mature, but in reality, this is probably one of the most vile things that I have ever seen them do. And we've seen them close down sites just because a person wishes to be paid for doing his job and not having what he created stolen by a community of pirates.chif-ii said:When it comes down to it, Anon is a group of trolls. This is why people shouldn't let their ten-years-old daughters own a webcam.
They twisted it leaving out the fact that they actually encouraged her. Making them seem like the smart and mature people who hold up the law, when in reality, they were the ones encouraging her behavior in the first place.Mcoffey said:How did they twist the story? This is a pretty straightforward story of an arrogant camwhore getting more than she bargained for. It happens all the time. This one is only different because it got media attention. That argument doesn't actually work for anonymous. We make claims that Anon saved this puppy or Anon gave this WWII vet a birthday party, but its usually a handful of actual users from 4Chan who do that stuff. Hell, recently I saw all of Anonymous get praised for giving a guy 20 dollars so he could feed his pets. If they choose to be a member of Anonymous, then we must represent them with the whole group. Unless they're willing to stand up for their actions, we cannot be sure who did it and as such we usually claim the group as a whole was a part of it.Mcoffey said:I don't remember where they ever claimed to respect the law (Unless it can screw people they don't like), but there's still the fact that one or two or twenty members of anonymous only represent themselves, and not the whole group. That's what is so ridiculous about people saying "Anonymous did X". There has never been a case where "Anonymous" stood united on anything. Some of them may have encouraged her, but there was bound to be atleast one white knight who was telling them to leave her alone and GTFO.maddawg IAJI said:They twisted it leaving out the fact that they actually encouraged her. And besides, even if they were encouraging her, she didn't need to comply, and she certainly didn't need to call them out. She was pretty much daring them to try something. She just didn't actually think they would. Still her fault.
Again, you should really consider checking your sources and think before posting things like in the OP.Azaraxzealot said:believe me. i dont spend any time at all on 4chan. i have heard too many horrible rumors to even think about attempting to go there.Leviathan_ said:-snip-Azaraxzealot said:i read something on "Cracked" about how Anonymous actually issued death threats to an 11 year-old girl just because she called people on 4chan losers for requesting she strip.
