Honestly this would be great, combined with some of the other great designs in the thread your eye would be both badass looking AND functional...but how would you power it?

I don't suppose you could hook something like that up to your nervous system/ brain and power it with your own energy at a simple thought could you?

i dunno, body heat? the iris could be a solar cell and recharge a battery inside during the day? you could take it out and plug it in? feed a power cord through your skull?

It all Depends on what you want. A low power LED and not only would not really need anything more complex then a button cell battery and a switch, but it could last far longer then you would need as well.

LED lights can go a long way without a recharge. Just put in batteries and you got a day or so of solid fun. I guess. They wouldnt emit enough light to see with the good eye though. I don't think those designs are available anyway :<

I would say fill the empty eye socket with lights as may have already been mentioned. Otherwise, an normal looking eye with a different colour than your normal eye could be nice. I wouldn't go with a fancy design - you still have to walk with it through public spaces and job/work and whatnot.
