So, my girlfriend is in porn and I don't know what to do.

Here is what you should do:

You: Hey, I was looking up *INSERT PORN SITE* the other day.
Girl: Yeah?
You: I SAW YOU IN IT YOU SLUTTY ***** *THROW DRINK IN HER FACE AND RUN*

That'll show her......
I concur wholeheartedly with your sentiments, make sure it's something alcoholic too so it burns.

OT: ASk her, be reet.

Oh I gotta add this before I forget; who cares so long as she brings her work home with her? : D

Talk her into watching porn with you as foreplay.
Then bring up whatever you think she was in, and keep looking from her to it with a quizzical expression on your face.

"Have you ever thought about being in porn?" That could work or get you slapped. Probably slapped.

I think you should ask her about it, but make sure you don't make the question sound aggressive, or else you're sure to have a fight on your hands, either way.
I also think you should send me the link, but that actually has no relevance to your relationship issues

College is still school...
At least it is considered schooling

My vast but admittedly anecdotal experience would suggest that, at least here in the US, they wouldn't behave as you describe. I've never met anyone in school who insisted on referring to it as "education" (which would lead to doubts of whether they were even a native English speaker), and only occasionally a first-year might say "no, I'm in college" because they're still riding that "I'm not a kid anymore" high.

Shit, my girlfriend called it "school" until last Wednesday, and she's 29. (I call her "Dr. Girlfriend" now).
In the UK we have a term called "school leaver", the term refers to anybody who does not go to College/University upon finishing school.

If you go to college then you'd be referred to as a student, but you'd be in 'higher education'.

Obviously cultures have different terms, but people shouldn't always assume that everybody else is from the same one as them.

Come on guys, all you have to do is click on his avatar and look at his profile. American. Born in 1985. We're not talking about teenagers here.

I'm British too, but I picked up on the fact that Americans call university "school" or "college" after about 10 minutes of using these forums :p
A valid point, but nobody should have to go rooting through a persons personal profile to glean information relevant to their post.

That'd be like creating a post about a news story, assuming everybody knows about it and discussing it without any link and as though no explanation is needed.

As prickish as these points makes me sound, I stand by them.

This is an international but predominantly American website, and it seems only Brits have had trouble understanding what was meant (and not even all of us at that). Pretty sure the OP hasn't done anything wrong. I'm actually more disturbed that so many people jumped straight to underage pornstars when that's clearly not the issue being raised here.

Or have I missed something here?
You seem to have missed college and university. That counts as "school".
No actually, I attended both. Never once did I refer to either as 'school'.

College and Uni, respectively.

When somebody says school, I think Secondary education, as in, 11-16. Please dispense your insults elsewhere.

Huh? What insults?

Anyway, some refer to them as school, some don't. It's also not uncommon to leave school at 19, in Germany anyway.
Apologies, I infered that your statement about me missing college and university was an insult. Not so much the Uni thing, but certainly in the UK I think College (or 6th Form, to some), is attended pretty much by everybody except the most retarded (or possibly clever, I know a couple of blokes who left education after school and now own their own Garage, which is pretty damned profitable).

Right so what you should do is suggest to her to watch a porno together, or whatever, and go to that website and click on what you think is her video and see her response...

Or you could just not do anything, admit everybody has dark secrets, baggage, etc. and just get on with your life... And if you must ask her wait until the time is right... Like when you're just about to dump her...

Well, I know this goes against most of the replies on this thread, but if I were you I'd wait it out. Since you calim you're not that bothered by it, you should wait until things get a bit more serious and then maybe ask her about it, or just wait and see if that's something she might want to extrapolate on. Because there are things people usually aren't very proud of and do not wish to share with even their closest people. Maybe it was a one time thing, and she needed money, and so on. Who knows? So, I wouldn't push it at this stage. Plus, it'd be pretty bloody emberassing and awkward if it wasn't her and you're left there, standing like an idiot. And even if it was her, you might just alienate her that way, if you're being too nosy. As I said - people have secrets, and sometimes it's better it stayed that way. If she truly is a pornstar, then that won't be hard to hide and sooner or later you'll find out, eventually.

Just talk to her. If it is her, she's not going to be offended you're asking about it, and if it isn't her, well then tell her at least she's pretty enough to be a porn star
I dont think you have to be pretty to be a porn star lol. For women, as long as you have a vagina you can make it into porn super easy.

I've heard pornstars say that, because sex is their job, when they get to have it in a more private, personal manner with someone they love, it is loads more intimate than anything else, ever. So I'd say you're a lucky guy.

Although I see your point I would say more often times than not sex is very intimate even without it being your job, because its a personal private thing between (normally) 2 people. The older than time itself real story is that porn stars often feel sex is nothing but a more naked handshake because they do it so often, heck alot of porn stars say they dont even like to have sex at all because of the shallowness. Id say your not lucky in anyway but rather things are just more complicated now lol. Goodluck, it really depends on the girl/boy for the actual intimacy level in bed and often has very little reflection from their current job, even a porn star.

Its not her. Unless you can find some identifying mark or listen to her give the stupid interview at the start of it.

Erana said:
If it makes you uncomfortable, talk to her about it. A relationship can't work too well on an emotional level if there isn't open communication about your feelings.
This is objectively good advice.

However, since when are people known to follow good advice? Especially related to men and feelings??

No, whatever you do- DON'T talk to her. Ever! Rummage through her underwear drawer and start collecting DNA samples from everything! While she's watching. Carry little bags and q-tips around with you everwhere, swabbing and sealing.

Then start casually asking weird questions about pornography, and put toothpaste on the toilet seat.
