So, my girlfriend is in porn and I don't know what to do.

You guys know you can be in school at 18 right? *facepalm*
Or at 16, which is legal in most countries.

Or at 15, which is legal in a couple of European countries, like Sweden.

Or at 14, which is legal in Japan, Saudi Arabia and Iceland.

Or at 13 OH GOD YOU SICK FUCKS YOU, EGYPT!
Are you sure it's legal for them to Star in porn at those ages, or just have sex?
Because in NZ, where I am, you can have intercourse at 16, but the age limit of porn is still 18
I'm sure you can have intercourse at any age. In U.S., there's no age restriction on selling condoms.
Perhaps, but you still cannot have intercourse at any age, you must be 18
For example, if someone over 18 has intercourse with someone under 18 it is considered to be a form of rape, and if two people under 18 have intercourse, it is still illegal.
I find it highly ironic that in the UK you can have sex with another person at 16, but can't watch other people having sex until you're 18. Just doesn't make sense.

So technically, you could film yourself at 16, but can't watch it back for another 2 years (That is, if you actually cared).
But watching that video would be illegal as well.

So many people here apparently don't know how porn works or something? Saw someone going on about how she could have an std from doing a video? Companies that produce porn are so careful and test their models all the time, since it would be very bad for business if word got out that their models were catching diseases.

Honestly you'd be surprised who manages to do porn. You don't have to live in LA or Hollywood to be in most mainstream sites. Hell some guy who was in the same year as I was in high school did like 3 gay porn videos. He was one of those "macho" jocks who spent all his time working out and then boasting of all the girls he'd slept with. Then a year later everyone found out a girl who was valedictorian of the graduating class and daughter of one of the school's teachers did a porn video. We live in Florida but not Orlando or Miami, just a small town.

I don't see how it would be such a big deal, unless she's in some kind of off the wall fetish sites it shouldn't bother you.

well then tell her at least she's pretty enough to be a porn star
Ew. I assume you haven't consumed a lot of it, because outside of the "big names" in the industry they are usually "normal" looking people with loads of make up on. When at least 25% of the girls I see on the street are prettier than the average porn star, I don't think that it would be a compliment at all.

Comparing her to a porn star would only make her look trashy. Heck, in my country it's actually common to use porn actors as a standard for male "trashiness".

I dated someone who was in porn too, but I found out about it when she told me about it... and then showed me stuff she'd done... :p :D
Dude, if she did anal in porn she would have no excuse... Please tell me it was a success.

Many female porn stars have weird ass vaginal warts, I assume from HPV. Faye Reagan's snatch looks like some kind of prototype Fleshlight/Jenga model, with bumps for added pleasure.

Just because people don't usually get HIV or Hepatitis from doing porn doesn't mean it doesn't sound dodgy as hell.

So, there's this girl at school that I've been casually dating for a while now, and it started getting serious about a week ago. Yesterday I saw a banner ad on a website that linked to several pornographic videos. What caught my attention was an eerie feeling that I recognized one of the girls, so I clicked on the link. I'm 98% sure it's her, but I don't know if I want to bring it up or not.

I don't have a problem with it, if she is, but I'm afraid of what impact it would have on us as a couple this early in the relationship, and even more afraid of what would happen if I ask and it wasn't her. What would you do in this situation?

EDIT: I am an American, in University and the girl in question is 21.
Let's be crude but practical here. Watch the video and see if condoms are used. If not, confront and ask for tests. And if no condoms are used in the porn than even if you are only 98% sure it's her still confront. If it was safe, well what can i say, depends on whether you feel you want to confront her. There is no "right" answer.

And i who thought these things only happened on TV.

EDIT: Forgot the obligatory "footage or it didn't happen".

Being casual/indirect won't help. Just ask her. IF you're right, she admits it, and you can decide if you're ok with dating a porn star.

If you're wrong, you deal with the slight awkwardness of her knowing you look at porn, just like EVERYONE ON THE PLANET.
Assuming she doesn't lie and say no ...

Don't do it. Not worth it. Some things are best not knowing. ignorance is bliss. Just assume it wasn'T her until proven otherwise.

That was actually New Zealand, but I see your point. I'd still prefer that to "NO SEX UNTIL 18!" that America's got going on. Let me tell you, ages 16-18 SUCKED because I was afraid that I'd go to jail.
It's all the same Commonwealth. The same applies in the UK.

Frankly, no-one cares that underage people watch porn (no-one important anyway). I don't know of anyone who got in trouble with the Cops for watching porn while underage.
Not just commonwealth, it's that way in most western countries, at least in the eu 16 is the norm.

Almost every site where you can post your pictures (social media sites like Facebook and Twitter are the worst), you immediately enter a legal clause they have in their terms and agreements that states that they can sell the use of YOUR pictures (or anything that you willingly post on their website, to be honest) to other companies. Some of these companies are porn companies...
It's a lot like Google selling your search information to companies so they can advertise shit to you (and still get it wrong, because they're retarded).
So that may have been your girlfriend you saw in the advertisement, but that doesn't mean she's done porn. Hope that puts your mind at ease, or at least helps a bit. :)
Thanks, but it wasn't just a porn advertisement. It was also a porn video.

I'd get the fuck out of that quick. She fucks other guys [presumably] for money? ew. I'd consider it the same as dating a prostitute.
The weird thing is, I wouldn't mind that. At least then she can support me xD
Welp, that shoots my support down. I don't know what you should do, then. :/

It could be that a jilted ex-boyfriend of hers uploaded stuff online. It may not be "porn," just crap from a former relationship.

But yeah, I would see if you can track down more stuff, and make sure that it is actually her.

If this relationship is just for fun, I wouldn't bring it up. But if not, I would talk to her about it. Just be very VERY polite.

Also, this essentially admits that you look at porn. Which may or may not be bad for your relationship.

Communicate, my friend, and believe her when she confirms or denies, even if you're not sure. :)

If you care about her enough it's worth stomaching, if you have a problem with it that is.

1) Initiate sex

2) halfway through, suggest filming

3) judge response.

Alternatively, just tell her you were wanking to porn one day and came across a video of a girl that look a lot like her. You could even tell her you thought it was pretty hot and offer to show her the video. Judge response.

Honestly if it was just some amateur shit I would think that's pretty cool. At least I'd know she's probably very... open... with sex. It wouldn't be so cool if she's like a small time porn star with a website and shit, though. I mean most girls my age have probably had at least a handful of men in them if not a dozen or more, so what if a couple times it was filmed?

And really if you're worried about admitting that you watch porn, and you do watch porn, then this relationship ain't gonna last. Your partner should know everything you do... within reason.

Someone who is against porn is probably not the person I would want to be with. My policy is only be with women who watch porn to avoid wasting my time.

Idea: he could say it was an anonymous acquaintance that watched the video and sent it to him not with the purpose of mockery, but because he worried about his health.

Send me the link of course, plus a picture of your girlfriend. The only logical course of action. I will then use my expert knowledge to compare the two and report back to you.

I misread the title as "So my girlfriend is porn" :/

OT: Just talk to her about it, I don't really see any other way to figure things out.

You could just bring it up casually. Maybe even kinda laugh at it with her. "Hey his girl in this video looks crazy like you. Not as hot as the real you, of course, but the resemblance is nuts."
