So... the Transformers are in a hair metal band now. No, really. REALLY.

So... yeah. More weird goings-on regarding Transformers. In honor of the brand's 30th anniversary, they're releasing a special box-set of toys at the San Diego 2014 Comic Con. And it's... a set of hair metal band themed Transformers.

They're calling it... the Knights of Unicron. I couldn't make this shit up if I tried.

Yup, that's Jazz, Megatron, Optimus, and Soundwave, with a keytar Ratbat and guitar Lazerbeak.

The set will come with a variety of things, including stickers, posters, a concert ticket, and a tell-all history booklet detailing the band's history.

I just... I don't know what to make of this. I mean, I'm a fan of Transformers, but this just seems so entirely bizarre and random. I'm not saying it's BAD, I just don't know how to feel about it.

Technically this isn't the firs times a Transformer has "hair" (well facial hair like Aphla Trion and Scourge) but it is for having actual frabric hairs for a toy.
I really shouldn't be suprised by this seeing how we got transformers that turned into trainers and coumputer equipment, that Eva crossover and now this (I guess secretly they wanted to be in a rock band with long hairs)!
