The whole "Front-facing video chat camera" almost makes getting a new iPhone worthwhile...

Wow, looks like someone's going to get in **major** trouble back in Aple HQ...

Poor guy... [http://www.cracked.com/article_18377_5-reasons-you-should-be-scared-apple.html]
Indeed.

Is it really that surprising that there's another iPhone model in the works?

$50 says they're working on another iPad as well.

Well. Now it won't be a surprise when they announce the new features. Thanks a lot apple employee, way to ruin it for everyone.

In all seriousness, maybe he should keep it in his pocket or somewhere secure, something that important to your job should never be out of your sight.

Chances are it was just a publicity stunt BUT if not it has to be one of the biggest FAILS in quite a while

I smells a publicity stunt!
Yeah, although I can't see why Apple would need to do that, it does seem VERY convenient that it was picked up by somebody who: a) didn't just steal it, and b) knew enough about what it appeared to be and thus have a reason to send it to Gizmodo.

This happens all the time with Apple, I'm guessing people are getting paid to lose them, I'm pretty certain that all new model prototypes have been left in a bar (apart from the 1st 2g model).

Since the Chinese story, these prototypes have been in existence for at least 6 months, and I can't imagine Apple having somebody lose not even knowing if it would reach the press.

Also, the Chinese story actually works AGAINST your argument, because I can't imagine a publicity stunt for an IPhone in which a guy kills himself, a company is accused of a brutal beating, and absolutely no details of the product the stunt is for gets released.
I was just using the Chinese story as a reference point that Apple always lose there shit.
Well, considering how much someone would want one (I know if a friend at Apple showed me a prototype, I'd taze him, steal it, and turn it over to the press) it's not surprising they get "lost" but I don't think for a moment they're getting paid to lose them.

Oh.

[HEADING=1]SNAP![/HEADING]

Total and utter fail XD I swear Apple are good at keeping things secret when they want it to be secret (the rumours behind the iPad was pretty much all generated by Apple themselves)...

I guess they fail HARD when they do fail :p

I just find the whole thing hard to swallow. If you've been trusted with a very valuable piece of equipment you do not;

A) Take it to a bar. Where the worst case scenario is you get drunk'd.
B) Ever let it out of your sight.

Being the sort of guy who checks his pockets every ten minutes for his shitty 3 year old Sony Ericsson phone, I find it hard to believe someone could have such a lack of vigilance. Then again, somebody has already highlighted the blunders of the British secret service, so maybe anythings possible.

So, with each of these new versions, I'm guessing people who have an iPhone have to pay $200+ every time a new one comes out if they want to upgrade?

It looks like shit. Seriously, it looks like a small version of that apple monitor you see exclusively on apple stores. At least with a bigger processor, multitasking and a decent sized camera and much higher resolution it will be able to do what a Nexus One can do today.

Oh great,another batch of iphone.And with that,more arguments for iphone junkies to pester me with.
No,I don't care that it has a bigger screen,or that the touch screen is more sensitive.I like my phone and it comes with a neat little stylus to hit those small virtual keys.

That's funny.

But why is this a problem for Apple? It's not like it will make a difference on who buys it now, is it?

First of all, BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA, fail....

Second, that iPhone4 looks really nice. Makes me resent not having piles of cash handy to spend on one :(
