This type of band naming has been popular for a long time, Cliff Richard and the Shadows (or Young Ones), Diana Ross and the Supremes, Huey Lewis and the News, Hootie and the Blowfish, but it seems to have exploded in 'recent' years.

So, what would your "[Someone] and the [Somethings]" band name be? Bonus points for telling us your genre.

My first choice: "Eleu (pronounced Ellie) and the Puppy" - Based of my Esc screen name and my WoW character from whence it came, the Puppy is my lvl90 Wolf (I tamed it at lvl 1 in Elwynn)

We'd make folksy indie music.
