Having just heard this song on the radio, it reminded me of something from my past:

See, when I was in high school, there was this other girl I was sorta friends with since we didn't hang out outside of school or anything. I tried to be nice to her, but she then started getting kinda aggressive and hostile towards me until she finally just let me have it. So yeah, not fun. Especially for a teenager.

Looking back, I admit that part of the problem was my fault for not doing anything about it like going to a teacher. The fact that I have autism doesn't help either. I hold no ill will towards her, though, like I said, part of it was my fault.

As for the song, it kinda reminds me how I tried to be nice, but it never worked out, so eventually I just had to let it go and move on. I say "eventually" since the whole ordeal left emotional scars that took a long time to heal. But as the song says:

"I can't help you fix yourself/But at least I can say I tried/I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life!"

So what songs bring up memories and emotions for you?

Wish you were here - Pink Floyd. My dad's favourite song and the one we played at his burial. Actually, we had a bonfire last night and a friend of a friend play it on guitar with everyone singing. It was prettt cool.

Into My Arms - Nick Cave. Always liked the song but it was the song my partner walked down the aisle to.

Whatever You Want - Something for Kate. An old gf and I used to love this band. This is my song, hers was Say Something. My song is about being careful what you wish for. Her's was having difficulty expressing herself, especially her sexuality

Spose this might do as a lost web of memory; And this; The how's and why's are secrets forever! Mainly cause they're not gonna be interesting.
