Regarding all the people saying this is about Sonic Generations receiving good reviews, this is about Sonic's 20th anniversary, which Generations is celebrating as well. This has been planned a good while, and a big part of Macy's actually accepting it is probably cuz of the incident with the last one. Also, I hadn't heard of that Rick roll before, that was soo awesome!!

Oh, and I think they should explode it at the end to reveal the real Sonic inside. It'd be epic!

Also, take it easy in this thread.

Ah, the Macy's Day Parade. (As Green Day calls it.) Two hours of non-stop advertising billed as entertainment. The FCC allows up to half the time in any given program to be devoted to commercials, and I swear NBC takes full advantage of that. And what's left over is mostly the announcers shilling whatever new crap the network has cooked up lately (yes, I know NBC has probably the best shows outside of cable nowadays; I'm in my cynic mode) and occasionally cutting back to the actual parade, which consists entirely of licensed characters floating through the sky and washed-up pop stars (every single one of which the announcer refers to in the "coming up" previews as a "such-and-such sensation") standing on floats that are also advertisements, singing the only thirty seconds' worth of their latest album that's actually suitable to air on network television.

It's an American tradition!
