I mean, wishing death upon someone you barely even know. How intelligent. I've run across enough biased gamers to know.
((yawns)) actually, I don't own a 360 or a WII, because i was a die hard ps2 fan. I mostly use my pc.
And that justifies you calling him a "cocksucker", "dickweed", and wishing death upon him...........how?magnuslion said:((yawns)) actually, I don't own a 360 or a WII, because i was a die hard ps2 fan. I mostly use my pc.
I believe that I have no idea what econ 101 is nor do I see what it has anything to do with this.magnuslion said:Seriously, did you fail econ 101? Or do they just not force people to take it anymore?
The PS3's price point is heavily exagerated, if you read plenty of other posts in this thread you can see that the 360 can easily cost as much if not more than a PS3. I may be known as the #2 Sony-fanboy on the Escapist here, but that doesn't make my opinions/facts any less valid than your stupid and obviously flame-baited comments about wishing death upon a person because they work for a company that you despise. If you don't understand that the PS3 is overpriced, then most likely you are a PS3 fanboy who is so desperate to defend his precious platform that he will read literalism into everything on this forum.
Ahhhhh, the old "Freedom of speech!" argument on the forums. I love those claims that for some reason you can insult, defile, threaten, and fuck away with anyone you can because it's "freedom of speech".I have every right to call him any name I want. Welcome to America.

Where does he show greed at all? It's quite common knowledge that the PS3 costs more to make than to sell and that Sony is selling them at a lose, and yet people still beg for a price drop? Sounds like you guys are the greedy, money-grubbing, bastards who can't save up an extra 50 or so dollars/euros.And I am sure that his greed will catch up with him eventually.
Okay, by god do NOT bring that stupid-ass argument into this damn thread! I have had it up to here with that completely retarded argument. We are not talking about PCs, consoles are completely different from PCs and marketed from a completely different standpoint. Do not bring that shitty argument that for some reason a console has to be up-to-date with PCs because they don't. They don't need to, the PS2 is planets away from high-tech PC shit and yet it's still selling and has games for it. The Wii completely disproves your stupid statement. If you don't get that paying nearly PC price for a PC that only does 1/5th of what a PC can is ridiculous,
Aww, how nice of you.again I apologize.
ahh, so flaming isnt also making comments on something that you don't have to? also, you can tout the rules all you want but you just cussed multiple times in the same post. I went with my knee jerk reaction.Jumplion said:I'm going to have fun with this and break this into smaller more manageable pieces.

If find it funny how you're claiming that I'm a fanboy (which I will admit) when you are the one yelling "fuck you cocksucking dickweed Sony representative! Suck your ass and defile yourself on TV!" I have yet to show any signs of fanboyism while all you offer is insults, predjudice, and bias against a guy who works for a company you for some reason hate.

Well, I have news for you, we're not in America. This is the internet. You are on The Escapist. The Escapist is a privately owned company. I suggest you read up on the forums guidelines, they can be found in the Off-Top and Gaming Discussion. I'll save you the trouble because I'm nice like that;

Since when was a PS3, hell any damn console, supposed to do what a PC does? When did it suddenly matter that a console had to be as powerful as a PC? Consoles are meant for god damn longevity, who gives a fuck if a console is out-dated by a PC in a few years, they get outdated in a fucking month.
So please, shut the hell up about that pathetic argument that for some reason a console must be as powerful as a modern day PC, because it's simply not fucking true.
Aww, how nice of you.again I apologize.
Reported.
So....that would be you? Are you mocking me young man? I don't like that tone of voice from you!magnuslion said:Ahh, so flaming isnt also making comments on something that you don't have to?
I cursed, I admit, though I think your "cocksucker", "dickweed", "greedy bastard", and "fanboy" sort of overshadows my "fucks" and "damns" that were used in appropriate context. Maybe some of it was out of line, but most of what was out of line was you. Also, you can tout the rules all you want but you just cussed multiple times in the same post.
One word: don't.I went with my knee jerk reaction.
Never claimed to even care about capitalists. A really good capitalist should know the great irony of Sony selling at a loss of every console, yet people still bitching about wanting to buy it for less and less and less! And Economics 101 is something every good little capitalist should take.
What does The Escapist being American based have to do with anything? It could be based in Fictionesia for all we care, just because it's American based does not mean American rules apply. In case you didn't know, The Escapist kind of has an international user base. Also, if this isn't an American based company, I would be surprised.
I'm done with this. feel free to feel like you've won because you played the good ole' boy card with the mods.Jumplion said:So....that would be you? Are you mocking me young man? I am pretty sure many Sony gamers would be mad they couldn't play Modern Warfare 2.Jumplion said:What independent game companies are thinking of stopping support? I havn't heard of any.murphy7801 said:Well I'm not dismissing it as a possibility just with amount of independents games companies thinking of stopping to make games if they make a move against one of them think alot companies will walk.
If Sony makes a move against Activision if they stopped support, it would show that they are not to be fucked around with. And even then, it would be stupid for a company like EA or Konami or Capcom to move out of Sony just because Activision tried (and would hypothetically fail) to cut support. The PS3 is still a machine they can make profit off of, I highly doubt Activisions hissy fit would do much.
Wishing someone to die and wishing someone to lose their console in a fire are both childish retorts. People should be mature and civil when they argue. At least then they will be taken seriously instead of silly.I hope you fanboys who hate on everything lose your consoles in a fire. Plain and simple.
Somehow, I have the feeling this is more of a "everyone's telling me what to do, so I'm going to do the opposite" kind of situation.Malygris said:"He's putting pressure on me and I'm putting pressure on him. That's the nature of business."
Here's the logic in two words: Tax break.Malygris said:When asked about the logic of holding the price point on the console, Stringer added, "I [would] lose money on every PlayStation I make -- how's that for logic?"
They may lose Sony but still would be making money through Microsoft, Nintendo, and the PC.Onmi said:I'm sure many guitar hero gamers would throw a fit about having to move to rock band to play Sony licensed songs.gof22 said:I am pretty sure many Sony gamers would be mad they couldn't play Modern Warfare 2.Jumplion said:What independent game companies are thinking of stopping support? I said it before that Activision pulling out is a dumb move for them, they stand to lose a share of the market by opening the door the competition and locking out content for one of there main franchises.
E.G. People would just play Skate, Rock Band and one of many many MANY FPS games instead of buying the Activision stuff that wouldn't be available. On top of that this is just an Activision Power play to see HOW much influence they have in the business. Sony is responding in the correct manner "We are not afraid of your threats so go ahead and try" Activision realizes that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo wont budge for them and that they have no real power.
fairly simple business really.
