Anyone else want a button to let people who have the uncensored version to see the crying koala?
The UK is in the EU, the UK version of the game will be certified by PEGI so any censorship that PEGI dictate would apply here in the UK even if none of the British regulators insisted on it. If we still had the old system where the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) handled the legally enforceable age certification it wouldn't be censored the same as the other European versions unless the BBFC decided it needed any instead of getting us lumped with the same censorship and games where almost never censored or banned by the BBFC, I liked the old system better for other reasons too.VanTesla said:I think he mean't to say EU as in all the countries that follow under the European Union which last I checked the UK was not part of the EU and have their own rules and guidelines they follow that may differ just like any other country would unless they are part of a coalition like the EU which as last I was told is a cluster F to put it lightly...Queen Michael said:I'm pretty sure that the UK is part of Europe, guvnuh. No need to add it seperately.
Where anal probing is not allowed... seriously, it's like the Government is afraid of people bumming each other (Governments anti-gay stance, herpy-derpy-doo).Shocksplicer said:Speaking as an Australian: Welcome to the party. In other words, the most depressing party ever.
Sad koala is confused. Is the Australian PC version uncensored or will it be?Steven Bogos said:Get Games is reporting that the PC version of the game will only be censored in Germany, Austria, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong & Taiwan.
...
It also appears that the censorship only applies to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, as the PC version will remain intact and uncensored.
That's my point exactly... There have been only 25 games that have actually been banned in Germany since 1989. And besides foreign copies of games that had different, cut versions in Germany and were thus banned to keep uncut versions falling into children's hands accidentally those games on that list are gems like "Anti-******-Test", "Concentration Camp Simulator" etc. Those games aren't censored, they are banned because they violate German laws against inciting racial hatred. The UK and Scandinavia have laws like that, too.Neonsilver said:I just wanted to start to rant. But since I prefer PC's I work hard on not feeling superior.
Anyway, jokes aside, this is just stupid. I just checked, the PC version got an adult rating here in germany. I couldn't find one for the consoles, but they should get the same rating and censoring a game with an adult rating is pointless.
It sounds more like they want to lower the rating to sell the game to younger audiences that probably shouldn't play it even with the censorship.
