So we're supposed to never ever discuss pop culture in the public space because maybe somebody's mom didn't let them watch a thing?Queen Michael said:Okay, I don't mind getting that spoiled because I don't watch game of Thrones and have no plans to ever do it. But you've got to understand that there are lots and lots of ways a person might be unable to get that far before now.Kakulukia said:SNIP
Maybe their mom didn't allow them to watch it until they were old enough.
Maybe they didn't think it would be any good, but loved the first episode when their friends forced them to watch it.
Maybe they didn't have the time to follow a long series until now.
And in all these instances, a spoiler will ruin the experience.
I agree that it sucks to get a good plot point spoiled and people shouldn't be total dicks about it and spoil for the sake of spoiling, but after a whole year has passed, I won't stop myself from referencing a plot point in conversation.
I've had things spoiled to me too, but if I'm late watching it, I can't blame anyone for it.
