Man, square has really gone downhill, it's good that they themselves are realising it. I don't really have a problem with this, I'd rather have a good game late than a crappy one now. But I get the feeling this is square's last chance...
I want Deus Ex as much as the next person, but I think it's good to see more companies prioritising quality over earlier release dates. I'm ok with this.
I would agree with you wholeheartedly if this were anyone but Square Enix. You see, Square Enix ALWAYS pushes back release dates to the point that people forget the game was ever supposed to come out.
For instance, have you ever heard of Final Fantasy Versus XIII (Not to be insulting, It's an honest question and you could have forgotten.)? It was originally scheduled for release BEFORE Final Fantasy XII, then right after XIII at Christmas. Now? It's TBA.
Square Enix hasn't released a game on-time in so long it HURTS.
