Surely Blizzard is the only company that can delay a game that doesn't have a set release date!Mordwyl said:Can't really break a tradition now. Have they ever disappointed with games they've delayed?Cid SilverWing said:Will Blizzard never EVER stop delaying their products? They've been doing this for an absurdly long time now.
Look, before you assume anything, I am more than able to wait for Starcraft 2. As someone said before, I'd rather have it finished than come out buggy and with errors. It's just that I don't like it when they make expectations and then heavily delay them. Considering the size of the project, they should've at least expected it to be years longer than they assumed.Amnestic said:When did they set an exact release date? Even the article here says that their SC2 initial release date was merely "expected". Blizzard almost never set release dates because they tend not to work on time frames but rather on the mantra of "We'll release it when it's done."Pendragon9 said:They're slacking no matter what light they put it under. If they knew it would take this long, they shouldn't have set a release date TWO-THREE YEARS AGO.
It's called checking your progress before you gloat.
And I'm fine with them releasing it when its done. Another half year won't kill me and I can wait for quality. There are plenty of other games between now and then to occupy your time.
I highly doubt the Blizzard developers are lazy considering all the stuff they've currently got on their plate. It's their fault they're so lazy.
New battle.net? damn... what are they renewing? faster servers? more users? charging terms perhaps?CantFaketheFunk said:Actually, from what I understand, the delay was more due to the new Battle.net, and less to the state of SC2 itself.
They're upgrading the whole service as far as I know. All World of Warcraft accounts will (eventually) be mandatorily linked to a Battle.Net account and since LAN has been 'scrapped' from SC2 and D3, both of those will be using B.Net accounts as well.DonPandon said:New battle.net? damn... what are they renewing? faster servers? more users? charging terms perhaps?CantFaketheFunk said:Actually, from what I understand, the delay was more due to the new Battle.net, and less to the state of SC2 itself.
About the delay... remember the old Starcraft: Ghost =D?
Call me a Blizzard fanboy all you want, but they still have yet to put out a bad game.Cid SilverWing said:Will Blizzard never EVER stop delaying their products? They've been doing this for an absurdly long time now.
I know..who do they think they are..VALVE or something?Cid SilverWing said:Will Blizzard never EVER stop delaying their products? They've been doing this for an absurdly long time now.
I dunno, I didn't think this [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League_Task_Force_(video_game)] was too impressive.TaborMallory said:No surprises here.

Hahaha oh jeez, I guess I forgot about the small titles. I actually had Starcraft / Warcraft / Diablo in mind when I posted.Amnestic said:I dunno, I didn't think this [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League_Task_Force_(video_game)] was too impressive.TaborMallory said:No surprises here.

But plus progress, albiet slow.The_root_of_all_evil said:Before anyone else says it: perhaps they need more vespene gas?
I don't know if Blizzard has missed the boat on this. Much as I'd really like a new Starcraft, it's starting to run that tricky Duke Nukem line.
