So, I played through the original Half-life games (Half-life source, Half-life: Opposing Force, and Half-life: Blue shift) this month, and realized something about the weapons that weren't machine guns.
I was counting down how many bullets it took to take down soldiers and Vortigaunts and Headcrabs.
It took away from the element that I was supposed to be in a realistic juggernaut suit with guns because I knew 2 shotgun shells took down the lightning aliens, and too many pistol bullets were needed to take down the military.
Now, I don't know if there's already a thread for this, but I'd like to know, Does anyone else feel this way? If so, please leave examples.
