The ammount of gems required is completely ridiculous. You might as well buy the game at that point.

when I took a look at the gems i could get from shredding my stuff after seeing what people bet on games, I decided this was ridiculous.

All these events and whatnot seem pointless when you have the money to buy whatever games you want. I barely have the motivation to sell the cards I get let alone get gems and then bids on games; many of which are worth less than $20 and have gem bidding prices of tens of thousands.

I still cannot believe people are paying $660 for a profile skin that expires in a month.
