So one again the Steam Summer Sale has come and gone, and as always we take a moment to more the looses our wallets have taken and rejoice in the new games we will play for 5 minutes before going back to the ones we've had for years and never seeing them again.

For my casualty report, I have this:

-The Witcher
-The Witcher 2
-Half Minute Hero
-Deadly Premonitions: Director's Cut
-LEGO Batman trilogy
-Hitman Contracts
-Hitman: Blood Money
-Hitman: Codename 47
-CivCity: Rome
-LISA
-If my heart had wings
-Killer is Dead
-Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1
-Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2
-Terreria (gift for my brother)
-The Secret World
-Splintercell
-Splintercell: Double Agent
-Splintercell: Chaos Theory
-Tropica Reloaded
-Outlast (gift for a friend, since he sent me a copy of Damned)
-Baldur's Gate
-Baldur's Gate 2
-Earth Defence Force: Insect Armageddon

This has ended up costing me 112.19$CAN (91.47$US).

What is your after action report?

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale
XCOM: Complete
Valkyria Chronicles
Metro Redux Bundle
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
Transistor

Total cost: £23.87 GB ($37.89 US)

Not really a wallet rape; more like an inappropriate hand rest on lap.

I just bought some EU4 dlc, spent under $10. Thought about getting Hatoful Boyfriend but didn't go through with it.
My bank account is doing ok.

I entered this sale determined to only get DaS 2 Scholar of the etc. and Legend of Grimrock 2.
I wound up with:
Legend of Grimrock 2
The Evil Within
Insurgency
Lisa
Tales of Maj'Eyal
Dead Island: Riptide (I just like Dead Island. It's bright and cheerful and the melee system is fun)
Fall Out 3 GOTY Edition
Dark Souls II Scholar yadda yadda yadda
Star Made

I think it all ran to about $80 or less.

The sale is still live where I am (UK)
It's the Encore Sale, the last day where games which have previously been on sale go on sale again. Everything that will go on sale either is right now or already has.

Only bought Farcry 3.

Was sorely tempted to get several others (particularly Stanley Parable, Among The Sleep, & Borderlands 2), but stopped myself. Gotta save money at the mo'.

Umm. Nothing. I didn't get a single game. Didn't want anything. So you know cost is about $0.00.
Look as this damn guy showing off his spending skills. Thanks for waving from your big fat high horse good sir.

As much as I would love to jump in on the excitement, Steam is way too on-and-off for me most of the time. Long story short, it doesn't like my university's internet, so I can't play any of the games that don't work in offline mode, and you really can't tell which ones will and won't work until you've tried it out for yourself. So just chalk me up for one more year of not participating. Hopefully next year will be the last. At the very least, though, there is GOG.

Took a few hits, but I've enough to eat and pay bills with.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing collection - $25-ish
Killing Floor 2 - $23.99

Around USD $48.

Let's see, I think I had about $60 spent on the sale. Now to see what I bought during it:

Super Meatboy
Audiosurf
Borderlands 2 GOTY edition(or whatever the ultimate edition is called)
Brothers-A tale of two sons
Fallout 3 and New Vegas GOTY editions
Gone Home
Nidhogg
Oddworld Abe's Oddyssee and Exoddus
Spec Ops the Line
The Witcher 1 and 2
Valkryia Chronicles

and I had bought Tron 2.0 for a friend and am leaving Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery in my inventory if anyone wants it for a trade.

I bought all the non-cosmetic DLC for Crusader Kings 2. I was tempted by some other games, but my library is big enough as it is.
