Regardless of the nice deals, am I the only one having problems with the checkout in Steam? I tried to buy some games Sunday evening, but every time I click on the "purchase for myself" button, I get thrown to the frontpage again. Tried this with several games and no luck, I also attempted it again this morning, thinking that it had to do with the overcrowded servers. Still nothing.

It would help if I could find a button/link somewhere in Steam that would take me directly to my shopping cart, I can't find it anywhere!

Edit: Managed to find a direct link to the shopping cart by adding L.A. Noire and it threw me to the same "buy as a gift/purchase for myself" page, but now I can't even click those buttons. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!

I wish I had that sort of self control, I buy just about any game if it's around $2 or so.

I believe I spent over $300 this Christmas. And I didn't even buy any games over $10. My library is well over 100 games now.

I really don't want to know. More specifically: a lot. Probably too much. I bought Portal 2 today and I have found something (okay, generally a few things) every day of the sale, both on Steam and on other sites (i.e. Amazon, GamersGate, etc.).

24 games for 52 quid... not too bad. Didn't get much in the way of free stuff - 3 lumps of coal and a 25% off coupon for Valve.

I have to say, this thread and its counterpart are an interesting study in the spread of people's gaming interests.

My December Purchases:
Assassin's Creed
Assassin's Creed II: Deluxe Edition
BIT.TRIP.BEAT
BIT.TRIP.RUNNER
L.A. Noire
Runaway, A Road Adventure
The Longest Journey

Puzzle Agent 2
Machinarium
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Star Wars: KOTOR

I just bought every single thing GTA-related for a fucking tenner.
That plus Mafia 2 and all it's DLC/Pre-order bonuses brings it £29.98 That's less than one single Xbox Game if I went and shopped at Game, and that just landed me about 7 games.

I also picked up Terraria for £1.50. I spend more than that on some chips at college every lunch time.

If I roughly do some quick maths of everything I've brought in this month...

-Star Wars Pack
(Battlefront 2, Republic Commando Empire At War Gold, Jedi Knight series, KOTOR 1) - £12
-Mafia 2 Complete Edition - £20
-Grand Theft Auto Complete Pack - £10
-Terraria - £1.50
-Fallout GOTY - £5
-Borderlands GOTY £5
Total: £53.50 [small](Roughly)[/small]

If I went and brought GTAIV and Fallout and all their DLCs brand new that would set me back about £70-75 on Xbox.
However I got both for about £10 on Steam.

Congratulations PC, you are now my primary console.

Well, I only purchased the Humble Bundle with all its games (+ a gift for a friend), and other indie bundles like the indie gala, indie royale and little big bunch. But then I've got so many games I don't even know where I should start playing them...

WON:

Orange Box
Audiosurf
Bunch Of Heroes
Space Empires V (a friend won it for me... which means he doesn't want it)
also won these for 2 of my friends: Risen & Orcs Must Die!
E.Y.E. - Divine Cybermancy (another friend didn't want it)

And then a friend of mine gifted me these:

Bastion
Cthulhu Saves The World & Breath of Death VII Pack
Eversion
Faerie Solitaire
Defy Gravity Extended
BIT.TRIP.BEAT
Terraria
Orcs Must Die!

Think that's all. Wait, there's also a Magicka complete pack... Holy shit.

I bought mostly indie games, nothing major.
Probably spent about $25
Scratch that, I've already spent over $50.. Oh lord! I had no idea.
16 games total (excluding Orange box and a really old strategy game that I scored for free).
Trying to buy Arkham City while it's still on sale. Anybody have working coupons yet? Mine are dated January 2nd and still don't work.
I'm in Australia and it's still $50 even at half price.

It brings me so much joy disgust seeing the Steam forums currently clogged up with threads about holiday giveaway cheaters getting banned. One guy admitted to having 300 separate accounts as well as using third-party software to obtain achievements, this is commonplace right now.
