Oh no! Oh no! Apple announced a product which nobody wants, thus stealing the thunder from all those people at GDC making interesting announcements that people care about!
How dare they update their iPad hardware? Nobody bought the first one in the one year they've had, and there's just no reason to bring out a new one in that time frame. Besides, all their competitors have now overtaken them with more reliable (Android) software on less expensive (subsidised) hardware, so it's too late for them to do anything about it as well as too early!
And nobody wants one! And the people who do are just trying to be cool! Clearly no professional or academic institution would adopt it! It can't even play Crysis!
Let me just take a while to reinvent Apple's business model while I'm here because the iPad and the iPhone 4 were such utter failures! They certainly shouldn't keep the basis of the iPad's design because nobody likes it. I know! They should have fold-out tabs with G-clamps to act as stands, the battery should be reduced so that it can be removed with a clip panel, there should be no glass cover on the screen, and it should have an OLED screen because we all love blurry colours which look cool and trendy and it's OLED!! And it should have a slide-out keyboard with a numpad, and it should also have mouse support, and the screen really ought to have a hinge just like a laptop, so that people can more conveniently carry it around. Also they should sell them to break even because we all know that you can't really make money on hardware! Microsoft and Sony proved it!
Right, for every exclamation mark there, I bang my head on the wall.
