They have the site but most of the content is region locked. It is the way with most legal options to safeguard the possibility to eventually have an exclusive deal or a DVD release in that market. But usually the UK is not big enough for people to bother making such a deal.

North American rights are traditionally sold seperately. And the US is big enough to make that worthwile and even pay for a dub. But most other regions are shafted. Not least because most anime enthusiasts watch the US version via VPN or some even less legal method instead of waiting for years for a local release that may never come.


It is even worse for not English speaking countries. No one buys the rights to stream in those countries if they don't expect enough revenue to pay for an extra dub.

Some people prefer a way that is actually legal and even conforming to the terms of service of the service used. Such an option does not exist for huge parts of the world. Which is something valid to complain about.

Streaming licensing is split between CrunchyRoll, HiDive, Funimation, Netflix, and a couple of shows per year to Amazon Prime. On top of that, a lot of older shows haven't been picked up for streaming distribution at all, and a lot of those don't have physical distribution either.

Just fall back to illegally obtaining it, then pay it back by buying merch. I'm not exactly advocating piracy but hey, sometimes you just don't have many options in the matter.
