Sugest me some Anime... please.

Last night (I think) I was on a bunch of Anime related threads disputing a number of things with anime fans including the english language, trolling, how to spell Hannah, the quote button and why I don't like anime (I keep wanting to put a capital A at in anime for some reason). Now I said at one point (I think) that I have tried to like anime or at least find out what the big deal was about it in the past and failed to do so. But mabye I was going about it the wrong way so what would you suggest to someone who has hated the subject for years but would be interested to find out if I could like it?


Oh and as a side note I cannot stand subtitles on anything so I don't think any of the non-translated stuff that alot of people seem to enjoy would work for me.

Yep. Haven't seen it myself but I intend to, and I've heard great things about it. Elfen Lied is brilliant too, though as a brief disclaimer it does have nudity and lots of gore, even for an anime. Hence watch at your own risk.

Anime sort of disturbs me... its like watching spongebob and patrick brutally carve eachother into what resembles mincemeat, and sandy the squirrl has massive boobs. Ok now I have to go dig out those thoughts with a screwdriver...
