Today is Black Friday (despite being Thursday...) so at 6pm tonight I will be fighting my way through hordes of angry shoppers trying to get a few fun trinkets for myself at decent prices.

I've got a few DVDs set up that I want, but not much jumped at out at me for the games that would be on sale. At first I considered Lego Marvel Superheroes for $25 but then I remember that'll be down to $20 normal price probably within the next 6 months.

But one game I noticed was also on the $25 list was Super Mario 3D Land.

What I'm asking is...do you think it's worth it? I haven't really played any Mario games in a while (most recently I replayed Super Mario Land 2 on the VC)

Most Nintendo games I've noticed don't usually drop in price, so I'm thinking maybe I'll go ahead and pick this one up while it's on sale.

Is Super Mario Land 3D a good game for one who doesn't usually play a lot of Mario? Is it a fun title sure to delight and entertain the child within all of us?

...basically I dunno. What are some of your thoughts?

Yeah it's fun, I recommend getting it if you don't have it. It's a lot of fun to play, although I am preferring 3D World on the Wii U a lot more now.

I definitely would at that price, it's a really fun game. Plus the shorter levels work perfectly for a handheld. Just enough time to do a couple of levels on the train :D

Yes I would definitely pick it up. I replayed it recently, and I had even more fun with it than I remembered. An ideal pick up and play game if you have a few minutes to kill, or if you want a little more Mario in your life. Which I think everyone could use.
