So my family's thinking about getting a Switch, and one game we might like is Super Mario Party. But various family members have nerve damage, tendonitis, arthritis, and other arm/wrist/hand problems that make using motion controls difficult, tiring, or even impossible.

[HEADING=3]My question is, can you play Super Mario Party without motion controls?[/HEADING] Can you turn off motion control minigames, or skip them? Do the basic board game movements require motion controls? And so on?

I don't think you can play it without motion controls, and it also doesn't support the pro controller, only single joycons, which sucks because they're quite uncomfortable.

I might be wrong though, I only played it once.

The answer is you can play a few games without motion controls.

But I mean a few. Out of a hundred or so games, I would say maybe 6-9? If that.

Mario Party was made to show off the gyro controls. I don't think this will be the Mario Party for your family. I'm sorry.

Thanks. We ended up getting the Switch but not Super Mario Party. We'll see how much everyone likes the games we did get!
