Considering Super Meat Boy is already one big copout considering there are a dozen other flash games I can play for free which are more exciting... I really don't give a sh*t about your stupid game anyway.

Seriously... compare Super Meat Boy to other "indie" titles like Braid, is there even any comparison?

And simply how did SMB get a higher rating than 'Splosion Man anyway? Jesus Christ -_-
Have you actually played the game?
Yes I have.

Fair enough then.

its sad that its not making it there but well not compromising was a good thing so you dont get a watered down gameplay experience(unlike some other ports of games in the past)

Exactly. They're not just in it for the money. McMillen is an awesome guy, who is somewhat unorthodox, and because of that, people are so damn quick to judge. As for the Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony argument: NONE OF THEM CARE ABOUT YOU. They're all just in in for money. Most of the bigger developers and publishers are too. Team Meat was interested in making an awesome game for people who would appreciate it, and they did. People who play it and say it sucks as quickly as Iscin have no right to claim that their opinion is worth sh*t.
NO ONE'S OPINION IS WORTH SH*T. For that reason, if you come on this thread just to claim that Super Meat Boy or Nintendo or ANYTHING for that matter sucks, you are just a pathetic worthless troll. As are many an Escapist user.

OT: DS cartridges actually go up to 2GB now, I think.

"It's a lose-lose situation, but the fact of the matter is if we release a shitty game, we will have to live with that for the rest of our careers and have to cop to the fact that it is a shitty game."

I feel like this quote, as simple as it may be, is something that many, many developers should have thought of before pushing out their turds.

I'll stick with a better platformer like Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Super Mario Galaxy 2... better than Super Meat Boy?

HAHAHA OH GOD, thanks for making my night :)
I fail to see the humor in the truth.
There's truth in that post? I can't see it.
Perhaps you need to look deeper.
There is no truth, only opinion. IMO Super Meat Boy>Super Mario Galaxy 2, but that's my opinion and it shouldn't mean shit to you or anyone else.

It's called indie developers have a sense of quality control compared to the shit launchers that just want to rake in money.

Yes, yes it is.
Explain how it's a problem.
The thought that somebody would actually prefer Super Mario Galaxy 2 to Super Meat Boy is quite strange. I'm sorry, I'm just not used to this.
Not used to seeing a different opinion than yours?

He comes into this thread and says "dur hurp ill just play mario galaxy." Was that not asking for trouble?
Yes, he was probably looking for a little bit of trouble. But if this is how you react to someone voicing a different opinion, there's a lot more trouble in your future. You could have ignored it, but you go back and forth assuming his mental capacity is at a decreased state because he has a different opinion? That is wrong.
Ex. In hockey, the guy who throws the second punch gets a longer penalty. Learn from that. Move on, and don't just go after people for having a slightly trolling/differing opinion.

OT: Sucks for wii owners. And too bad that I can't get it on the PS3.
But really Nintendo? 30MB data limit? I have a DEMO for LBP2 that's 2000+ MBs. I have three other demos like that. And you wonder why more people go to systems like PSN or XBLA or Steam. Expand the limit at the least, and allow more developers to embrace the Wii. People are downloading more than old games on other consoles, Nintendo should start selling more than old games on their system.

I don't like hockey so I disagree with your example.

So...how about for the PSN? It might be available for sale there, you know. I, for one, would buy there over anywhere else.

Their contract apparently forbids releasing SMB on PSN.

Forever.

Interesting. A contract with MS that doesn't prevent it going to Nintendo? Odd. MS seems paranoid. Does the same apply to Mac users on Steam, I wonder?

*checks the size of the SMB folder*

Ah, roughly 250 MB.

I guess that even with the difference in resolution between the PC and the Wii, they'd have to turn up the lossy compression for both audio and graphics to a point where it's just not worth it.

Well, that's why owning nothing but a Wii is a bad idea. A Wii and a PC is a good match.
I prefer to go for the up-to-date PC/PS3 match-up, although you'll probably need take out a loan for that one.
Meh, most of the PS3 games I'm interested in get PC releases as well. The Wii has more exclusives that call out for my wallet's attention.

Mainly because people besides you see a slick-controls amazingly fun platformer and decided it was better then a puzzle game. Oh noez different opinions think of the children!

OT: Meh, Wii players are just SOL I suppose.

Well, wiiware is a download service right? Maybe when bandwidth and server space becomes even less of an issue than it is now for a multinational corporation, nintendo will increase what size "wiiware"-or future versions of it, titles can be.o

or maybe they don't want a bunch of angry grandpas calling them and complaining that their dial up connections will take a year to download the game and then a eyar later having them yell again for the game being impossible.
