Super Papercraft Mario Bros Should Avoid Fire Flowers

We've heard of Super Paper Mario, but this is ridiculous!

There's a skill that goes into the construction of papercraft models that eludes me. It just doesn't make sense - how can little sheets of paper suddenly turn into Hero of Time himself [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79Uo2EG1_so]? I have no idea, but that doesn't stop it from being utterly incredible.

The image you see here is the work of deviantART artist TouchFuzzyGetDizzy [http://touchfuzzygetdizzy.deviantart.com/art/Super-Smash-Brothers-164509728?q=&qo=] (props on the Yoshi's Island reference, man), who clearly worked hard creating these paper versions of gaming's most famous dynamic duo. Mario stands 40cm tall and Luigi is 50cm - which our resident Brit helpfully tells us is about equal to a bit over a foot and a foot and a half, respectively - so while these papercraft sculptures aren't exactly life-size, it doesn't make them any less impressive.

The artist has the patterns for the brothers linked on their deviantART page, though no instructions. Still, if you're a papercraft wizard, you probably don't need no stinkin' instructions, right? Right.

Man, I wish that the artist would do more of the Nintendo cast like this. Think about it: You could set up the most awe-inspiring real-life Super Smash Bros. diorama of all time!

That is pretty epic. I cant even do a paper airplane.
Forget the airplane, I can barely fold paper in half neatly! I can't even tear Sticky Back Plastic.

Calumon: Jack, you can say products.

Jack: Oh good, SELLOTAPE. There we go.

OT: This is awesomely awesome in a very awesome way. Though for some reason, they look a little... unreal. Like they aren't really there.

Calumon: I think it's like Mario HD.

After I read this, I immediately looked at who made the article, and who else could it be?

Either way, all those three papercrafts were awesome, as is this one. I respect the amount of patience, skill and care to keep a sculpture made from paper from collapsing, that making a papercraft entails one to.

Only papercraft I've ever made was a Castle Crashers one [http://crzisme.deviantart.com/art/Castle-Crashers-Papercraft-98644176] (which I do love, it looks so cute).

Well, two, actually. One was small, the other was bigger, made with about four layers of regular A4 paper glued together, and they are my babies.

I love people who can do awesome things like this, and with their BARE HANDS. In comparison, I feel so small and insignificant, but that´s cool, because this is cool stuff.

Thumbs up for TouchFuzzyGetDizzy.

No offense to the artist but can I show an even more epic papercraft?

Have you guys comfirmed that it is actually made out of paper? Because that thing looks TO good to have been done by human hands.
Yes it was made with paper, a thicker kind, you can tell by the colors, folding patterns and overall geometric looking. By the looks it's a veteran papercrafter, even though if it were shot closer it might have shown a bit of white (parts where you glue the thing together).

It's not that hard, you just need patience lots lots and loooots of glue. Experience helps as well.

That is seriously awesome. I do papercraft, but I am far away from being able to make something like this. I am still pretty happy with my Happy Mask Salesman and Lifesized Combat Shotgun.
