Well Superman kicks the shit out of Batman in terms of value.
I have to disagree.

Who the hell would pay $250,000 for a comic book?
Perhaps a investment bank CEO after he receives his bonus after Bush & Co bailed them out with debt borrowed at interest against future earnings from taxes? *shrug* The number of people able to afford that from their expendable income for a comic book should be small list so we could figure it out if we want, unless they happen to take a loan out to do it...

Superman does it again. Somewhere... somehow. I expect an owner of a glowing rock to try and make the family homeless anyway, in fact i heard the rock was called Kryptonite...

Sigh...good for that family, but this reminds me of the all those other families living in tent cities under freeways and whatnot.

Fantastic, at last a superhero story worth reading. Economic heroism? In today's society? Who would have thought.

You know, my dad actually had a copy of Action Comics #1, but his mom threw it out when he enlisted. Sigh.

But seriously, awesome for the family! Go Supes.

What a great little story!
This really made my day. It's like the exact opposite of the Westboro Baptist Church.

I always find it unbelievable that people can have something like that lying around and not know about it. Just like those stories of people who just throw stuff out without checking with anyone if they might be worth something.

Maybe it's just that I'm Dutch...

America is mad about first appearance books of superheroes btw. It's why I'm holding onto my two copies of Witchblade's first appearance. You never know what they might do twenty years from now.

I'm not that into the collector's side of it though, I mostly just buy trade-paperbacks because importing all those floppies is simply too much of a hassle and an expense.

But hey, that's extremely cool for those people.
