Cybranosaurus Rex? Wow. (Cool and stupid all at once!)

Does any one else feel the feel of the game is getting a bit silly? I hope they manage to make it as slick as the original. Also, the website they made is pretty badass. It's going to be hard to enjoy the game as much with the apparent goofier feel. Which is weird because they tried to base the game on Saving Private Ryan.

The sheer power of the Fatboy 2.0 is rather scary, it's a good thing this game is in pre-alpha, because it seems they have a lot of balancing to do.

You just wait untill said robotic dinosaur actually starts BLOWING SHIT UP.

For your information (and i mean all of you), teeny-tiny robots you may see scuttling around in some screenshots are ten metres tall.

Well, in Forged Alliance, Fat Boy had 12 battleship cannons. And fired at the rate of T1 plasma turret. Talk about superior firepower.

Well, no crap. Mech marines are as tall as trees.

How did the concept for that technology go? " All right guy's I like Dinosaurs and I like robots, and I'm sure that some how this whole Mechasaurus thing will work out".

well you get a bunch of people in different colored tights to yell out different animal types
and then the mechasauras becomes part of a giant fighting robot

This reminded me of the part from Jurassic park III. So all they really need to do is make a Mecha-Spindesaraus, and they'll have a great trap for the opposing force.

So far from what I have seen of Supreme Commander 2's gameplay, it seems to have lost it's sense of grand scale conflict. Now, I think developers should definately carry over important lessons learned from different project, into new ones, but the SupCom2 screens on their site make it look a lot like they have created a version of Demigod with robots and no heroes. I know this isn't exactly the case, but they haven't really shown something that has the same feel as the first SupCom.

Ohhh no. One of trailers showed literally thousands of UEF guys attacking a Cybran base, I think it's going to be grander than ever...

These are my worries too.

Which is why I'm trying to not get too hyped about it until I've played the finished product.

I FUCKING KNOW AND IM FUCKING STOKED!!!!

Sorry :p. I just saw an interview with them showcasing the alpha. To be honest I am very scared of this sequal. I loved Supcom because it was so vast and it there was so much going on.

I am scared that it might take a dip to the command and conquer side of RTS and that makes me worried because I hate the feel of CnC. I always feel rushed and there is no time to really sit down and think things through.

However its still supcom and what I saw as an alpha. They get the benefit of the doubt for now.
