See, if they were using Google+ they could make these posts exclusively available to their "Stupid Criminals Who Render Criminal Investigation Unnecessary" circle.

Oh Jamal at it again, thought he learnt from the last time not to post his jobs on facebook(I kid, don't hurt me!)

On a more serious note; Really people? How low is your IQ if you think posting evidence on the internet is a good idea? T.T"

While criminals might not have to worry about getting arrested by the cops right now (since they're doing their best to, y'know, quell the riots themselves), posting pictures and videos of one's criminal exploits where the entire world can see them is far from the brightest decision one could make. Enjoy your ill-gotten gains, folks, it looks like it's only a matter of time before they earn you an all-expenses-paid vacation to prison.
Hopefully the english army will be sendt in soon to help the police...

It's good to see when the world seems to be falling apart, the economies in he shit hole and the whole countries going to the dogs, that some idiots are willing to make idiots of themselves for our amusement.

I'm extremely happy for not having a Facebook or Twitter account, 'cause I can see myself doing something like this...

That is to say;

If I lived in Britain, was poor and badly educated and all that.

Thankfully I'm not, so good luck in prison, fools.

As a side note; Why do people keep doing this? Don't they hear about all those other people doing this and getting arrested? Or are they so thick they beleive themselves to be invulnerable to such things as people reading their facebook page? (because they have no friends, o snap!)

The thinking goes as follows:

I just did some rioting and looting.
It was fun and cool.
I like posting about fun and cool thinks on Facebook.
I'm going to post about my rioting and looting.

Sadly this sort of thinking bypasses the "Is this a good idea?" section of the brain just the same as when people post drunken pictures of themselves as their main photo just before a job interview.

Good to see a sense of British Fair Play still at work;

"What's that guv? You didn't catch me swiping all those goods from the electronic store? Don't worry, I'll put up some pics of them on the internet with my name, face, adress and e-mail number clearly displayed, give you another chance. It's only sporting, right?"

Wow...just wow; if I ever had the urge to loot you can guess I wouldn't plaster it on Facebook, then again it seems the only time Canada riots these days is over hockey so...
These day ? Montreal has been rioting over hockey since, let's me think... forever. And we don't even need a Stanley Cup to have riot, one of the biggest riot was when Maurice Richard got suspended back in 1955 and small scale riot are a regular thing during the playoffs.

I just don't want to think how the fan will act next time they win the cup, Habs fan are already rabid even when the team suck, that they can simply riot over winning a match against Boston or winning a playoffs round, and they haven't got the cup in so long that you might need to army to stop them.

Awesome. Just when you think you'd seen the limits of human stupidity...

Just another piece of proof that these riots are baseless and criminal, not political.

"Far from the brightest decision they could make"? But they're cooperating the police! Granted, they're cooperating to get themselves in prison, but still, anything that saves them some trouble is a good decision in my book.

The only better decision these guys could make is if they decided to actually shove their loot in a cop's face.

Not the brightest penny in the fountain. It shows how out-of-touch with society these people are, and how "invincible" they feel themselves to be.

Well, almost 400 of these fools have been arrested. Let's hope the judge won't say "oh, poor you, you're just a kid, alright, a slap on the wrist and off ya go!", because that will just encourage them to do this sort of stuff again. I say sentence anyone involved to at least 5 years in jail. And put a huge massive fine on them that they can't work off till they die. And then if they riot again, put em in jail for 10 years?

Jails overcrowded?

BUILD MORE JAILS THEN.

Just for anyone interested, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14449675 is a live coerage of it, but it's showing pre-recorded footage at the moment.
I was talking with a few people on Skype who are down in London, it's quite bad from the sounds of it from them.

Some MP has just made a comment that is not going to make anything better at all though.

Conservative MP Peter Luff
No single explanation for this anarchy but rioters likely to be products of failed families - bored, selfish, unloved young men.

Some of the looting isn't even proper looting, why would someone loot a mcdonalds?
Or loot for 30p rice!?

Rumours were that something happened at the Zoo too, but no news on that so probably nothing.
STEAL A MONKEY....awww shit I would steal a monkey...Walk around with him and let him pick his own name...I would start smoking pot JUST so I could get high with a monkey...Teach the guy how to wear a diaper and how to poop in the toilet...and then flush. ....I'm sorry where were we? London riots? yes they are bad...BUT WE COULD STEAL A MONKE.....I said this already? ahhh...sorry for wasting your time then. Keep calm and Carry on good chap.

Oh dear....

"Fred, you know what would be a great idea"

"Whats that Bob"

"If we posted pictures of ourselves with stolen property on the internet, on a site with our names and contact information on them"

"You know what Bob, thats a brilliant idea and in no way, shape or form can that possibly come back to bite us on the arse".

1 word...

Wow. You really have to be INCREDIBLY stupid to do such a dumb thing. How about the next time they steal a big neon sign of local shop and place it on the roof?
