"Who has time to finish games when there's so much great stuff waiting to be played? Not you, that's for sure."

Hey, I do so finish games!

Uh, on that question asking if we skip cutscenes, shouldn't "If I've seen them before" have been an option?

Explorer? Yes, I go everywhere and try to find everything just to get more stuff and find secrets. Pony Lover? I don't get it. What really seems off is how it says 'why bother with main story' part, but I love the story, I don't skip scenes, I want to know what's going on not just get into the action. 20 questions do not an accurate picture paint of people. And heck most of the answers were not even choices I would have picked anyway, limited choice force groups me into other people... >.>

Errr, what? I'm the explorer eh? I checked the story options, the fantasy options and I related to Niko (I'm not awesome enough to be Drake), yet I got Explorer?!

yeah, I went to all 4 corners in Fallout 3 (a relatively small game), but I hate MMORPG's purely for the exploration you have to do.

I think me completing Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 roughly 5 times each should have given me the story option alone.

Also, I don't skip cutscenes OR the credits.

I guess this kind of fits since when I first got TF2 I spent a great amount of time reading through the achievements trying to figure out which ones I wanted to get

Deadeye and Explorer, which is not even slightly right because, although I enjoy RPGs, if I get stuck Ill go right to a guide instead of spending hours fannying about with it, and I'm not a huge fan of shooting games.

The issue appears to be that a lot of the questions don't have an "other" option. For example, I selected GTAIV as my "would play again and again", but only because it was the sole game out of the four that I have played or have any desire to play(and then only because the characters are so engaging, the actual gameplay can get a bit tedious).

I selected NFS from the racing game category, again because it's the only one I've played, and I really don't like racing games at all. The quiz also seemed to be weighted oddly, as it seemingly ignored my responses about books(I do read everything I can find), the other which would I pick selection(CivIV) and what I find most important about the games I play(story).

The MMO player test is a lot more accurate, sorry folks :p

Best of the best? Wasn't expecting that, I'm really not that competitive, I do like a challenge though.

EDIT: I sound more like a Tactician or a Jack of all games rather than a Best of the best.

And that was for my second go-through. First time round I got explorer, which doesn't really fit me (I'm big on story really, it's probably the most important part of a game to me).

This is at least sorta accurate... But not really.

There we go! Much better!

Also, for some reason I once got the Simulant & the Tactician at once?

Jack of all games!
I guess I got the "no weaknesses" perk from fallout 3 when it comes to games
Except I do try and finish all the games I got now. and I buy very few games.
A miserable pile of nonfinishing gamers!

Explorer... kind of me im more of a only dont play the story if its really bad kinda of guy because I love the storys but I always have little breaks to do side quests if during the main plot it pauses for a bit like an npc tries to figure something out and will take a while, or if I dont think the main plot is as epic as the game is so I make my own story! But yeah the quiz was great fun!

[br] The Pretentionist [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/quizzes/result/83.46-The+Pretentionist] [br] Take this quiz [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/quizzes/view/83]

I believe I got this because I prefer reading classic literature to light entertainment, and because I checked the story options. I don't know what all the other profiles are you get from this quiz, but the ones in this thread don't seem half as mean or snooty as The Pretentionist. Quiz-maker, are you serious? Liking good story-telling is pretentious? So you're assuming that people say they like good stories only fake their enjoyment of stories (and art, I assume, based on the flavour text)? Everyone in the world loves a good story! Art and entertainment go hand in hand.
I got the same, but I didn't check off any story options. I think it's based more upon questions like, 'do you pre-order games', and the like. And besides, that last sentence of yours just dug your own grave. You're just in self-denial; admit it and revel in being better than other gamers. Bwahahahahah.

I say I'm pretty happy with The Pretentionist; it actually describes me pretty well. I play indie games and games which introduce a novel gameplay mechanic, but after I experience that unique mechanic i usually stop playing the game. I sort of play games for the game's *design*, which, I suppose, is close enough.
