I'm sort of disappointed that the summary decided to use the word 'armageddon' instead of Ragnarok...

And I, uh... what is this?
I thought it was just a sketch or a mock trailer, but apparently it isn't?
and hell instead of Niflheim
I sort of tolerated Hell, because it didn't sound too far from Hel, which after all is supposed to be located in Niflheim.
Hel is "the ruler" in Niflheim and is loki's daughter
Hel, the woman, rules over Hel, also called Helheim. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hel_%28realm%29
The same way that Hades rules over Hades.

Niflheim was one of the first locations to exist, along with Muspelheim.
The warm air from Muspelheim met the cold air from Niflheim in Gunningagap, and formed Yme.
and as amazing as is sounds, they still change it into... well you saw the trailer.
old religion and other old stuff are good enough. why do they fell the need to change it. if i go to a movie about norse mythology, i want it to be norse mythology.

I don't know if the target audience of Almighty Thor are very interested. They just want some action and a familiar setting.

Edit: Also, what's the deal with Mjolnir? It looks bloody silly in that trailer.

Oh my, that trailer looks terrible. Shot of action! Line of text in bad font with narrator! More shot of action! More line of text! I could've made that in 3 minutes >_>

The movie itself looks atrocious as well. It will most likely not be distributed here in The Netherlands, something of which I'm very grateful.

and Raul Juliana as M. Bison is the best damn Bison I've ever seen outside of the game).

I think that's why it gets such a panning. I love Street Fighter, and have a shrine to Kylie; but dear god that movie was awful, EXCEPT for when Raul Julia was in a scene and then he shamelessly stole the entire thing.

It was his last film though. :(
I'll raise my hand, too, and admit it's one of my guilty pleasures. I have the Blu-ray and frequently watch it. Yes, it was uber-cheesy, and stupid, but I enjoy it. You're right, too, Raul Julia stole the movie. He's so outrageously over-the-top I can't help but smile watching his performance.

on topic, I admit this article had me confused at first. Is this NOT the Thor movie/marvel product that's coming out soon? Is it a game? Who in the hell is The Asylum? Oh, well, google!

Wait, "Hammer of Invincibility"?
When the hell did the name 'Mjolnir' get copyrighted?
Besides that, kinda looking forward to it, since all Asylum movies are good for a laugh.
What I want to know is how he killed the previous owner of the hammer of "Invincibilty"

Damn do I have a weak spot for terrible movies. Because they're occasionally unparalleled in the realm of the ridiculous.

the sad truth. and why did they make loki evil. he may be a Trickster but he is not evil.
also, he is odin's blood brother, and odin have Gungnir. why and how should loki kill him

I'm not terribly certain why everyone is mocking this. Have you guys SEEN that trailer for "actual" Thor film? It looks godawful...
Something tells me you have never seen an Asylum-movie. Their so bad it isn't even funny.

I'm a big fan of Asylum films, got a collection of about 15 (and another 20 or so from various other companies). They're awfulness makes them worth watching They're terrible, but that's what makes them watchable. An Asylum movie is much better than your standard Hollywood Bad Movie when you've got some mates round.
