What was the best "crap" game you ever played? by this I mean a game that, by all logic, should suck hell, but doesnt. So games like harvest moon, a game where you run a farm, from the sound of it it should be a piece of... well lets just say it should suck but i loved the crap out of it anyway, so lets hear it! what was your favourite "crap" game?

The 3D sonic games always seem to get bad reviews, but I play them and find them very entertaining.

Bayonetta. Story sucks, characters suck, and the music sucks, but damn it I played that game to %100 completion, and those are the coolest boss designs ever.

This. People seem to enjoy complaining when Sonic is involved. I fully enjoyed playing Sonic Adventure 2 for a long while and the day stages for Unleashed look fun. I haven't played the other ones though.

oh my god! i loved that game! i mean, i love photography, i love pokemon. i swear when i first played pokemon snap there was a heavenly chorus

Actually, this is more along the lines of "Best Time I Ever Had With A Crap Game."

When I could get Superman 64 into the mode without the timer I had a lot of fun flying around (this was back when it first came out).
But then again I wasn't even 10 years old at the time so anything might have amused me then. I never actually played the story mode but I wasn't looking for a story, I just wanted to fly around.

Today I'm sure that if I played it I wouldn't like it so much.

Crisis Core: FFVII.

One-button combat? Check.
That relies on a roulette wheel? Check.
Unskippable cutscenes right before really hard boss fights? Check.
JRPG Story? Check. (Though it's not that bad, but it could be much better.)
Not knowing where to go next? Check.


...and it's awesome! So much more fun than it should be.

Not to mention the game was about 5 hours long. But for some reason I loved it as a kid.
