I was messing around in Oblivion and killed a random citizen in the Imperial city, then stealthed a distance away before anyone showed up. A crowd gathered around the corpse and they were all talking about how horrible and tragic it was until a guard walked up. The guard said "There's a murderer on the loose!" or something to that effect, before drawing his sword and proceeding to murder the whole crowd of onlookers. I was laughing so hard I literally fell off my chair. I reloaded the save right before I killed the random person, but I could never replicate the insane murdering guard.

The best glitch was in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. Try your best to beat this.

Okay so in the opening cinematic when Zombie uncle is making his way to the house, there was something important that seemed to be missing, oh yeah, Uncle. For the darnedest reason, Uncle was invisible, so the game ended having these dramatic camera angles, suspenseful music and sexy Uncle groans and I was starring at the TV, confused out of my skull wondering what Rockstar were doing. That's only the beginning of this tale, I'm yet to get to the best part.

John kills Uncle after he bites Abigail and once the cinematic is over, Uncle, now on screen and visible finally, was a cougar all along. Yes, you read that correctly, Uncle was an invisible cougar. Abigail, who was bitten then turns into a Cougar (yes) who goes ahead and bites Jack and he... does not turn in a cougar, merely has the animations of a cougar. As those who have played the game, I now have to hogtie Abigail... except she's a cougar and you can't hogtie Cougars so I lose the mission, so I chase Jack and he runs off too far and I lose the mission.

This is the part where I realise because Uncle was an invisible, my wife became a cougar and my son thinks he was a cougar, I can't finish the game and that my dear readers is my entire experience with Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.

Skyrim is by far the winner for entertaining and amusing glitches. Dragons flying backwards, flying horses, crawling corpses. Just funa nd hilarity to be found everywhere.

Simpsons: Hit and Run for the GameCude... Usually if you drove your vehicle into an un-drivable area, the screen goes black and you respawn on the nearest driving area...

I was bored and decided to drive the vehicle I had on me off into the ocean and predict where I would respawn afterwards... and this one random time, I kept going and ended up off the entire level map, with the car I was driving on the verge of blowing up due to the long drop down to an invisible ground I could still drive on... I drove as far away as I could from the main level area before I decided to turn the car around and look at the how far I truly was from the main game area...

I got out of the car to get a better look with the camera... before the character I was playing at the time fell into the endless abyss that was being separated by this invisible ground... I had to restart the level in order to get out of it, in the long run, but after finding out there was an easier way of pulling this off using one of the cheat codes from this one cheat code book I bought a while ago, it just made this glitch I found even better to exploit to my bidding...

Of all the games I've played, I have yet to get more and funnier glitches than in Infamous.

During an armoured bus mission, things took a...strange turn. And yes, it was moving like that for a good few minutes

Classic "vanishing" glitch that happens when you try to climb on some surfaces, especially if they're rocky.

I was playing Half Life 2 the other day. I did a lot of derpy things (like hit a bird with the airboat and get stuck under Alyx while trying to follow her under a ladder) but I did get a funny glitch that further proves that ragdoll physics will never stop being funny. I was at a barn in the airboat section and tossed in a grenade. A soldier rolled towards the door and his leg got stuck when it closed. What followed was a hilarious display of the leg spazzing Garry's Mod style complete with sound effects. I stared at it for a good minute trying to process what happened and then exploded in laughter. I tried to capture it on Fraps, but when I unpaused I accidentally shot the leg and stopped it.

When I was playing The Walking Dead (yes, the Telltale one) I was trying to disarm Vernon. I managed to calmly talk him down and took his weapon. The game then stopped and casually gave me the "You Died" game over screen as if I was killed. While not hilarious or the "best", it's such a simple "...wat?" moment.

And while I say this, I have never EVER received a single glitch in Skyrim (and I'm playing the PS3 version). No backwards dragons, flying horses, or anything like that. What am I doing wrong? :(

Dupe glitch for Oblivion. Having 300 diamonds spawn out of 1 always looks cool.
I was going to mention a Skyrim glitch, but that's something I loved about Oblivion.

Two of my favorite gilitches that aren't from The Elder Scrolls are from Iron Brigade. One time while I was playing a mission with a friend and I managed to fire an artillery shell at just the right time so that it killed the Jackob just before he would have appeared in his introduction cutscene so I didn't have to deal with it after. The other is that when attacking some of the larger enemies with a certain grenade launcher it will occasionally send them flying into the air. It's very entertaining to watch.

"The Big Show's defecting! We'll see you on Thunder!" [http://youtube.com/watch?v=2AweVxT1aKY] Never fails to make me laugh. The New Legacy guys have some serious skill when it comes to finding glitches too, apparently. Nothing seems to go right.

Big Show merges with a ladder, and develops super speed. He also decides to catapult himself through the side of the arena.

You really should watch the video

EDIT: NO! The best glitches were from Just Cause 2!

The Skyrim Space Program glitch remains a favorite, because that always resulted in hilarity. Or the entire New Vegas LP by the 20 Sided people, because the exploits of Reginald Cuftbert are glorious.

Though, the Saints Row 3 bouncing tank glitch will always remind me of the time my tank rolled over a tiny stop sign and completely threw physics out the window by becoming a rubber band perpetually bouncing off the pavement.

In Spec Ops, there's a scene where you have to defend a wounded Adams from waves of soldiers. If you go too far away, he'll yell something like "Where the hell are you going, Walker?" or "Get the fuck back here!" But the game does this by checking whether you're in some radius around him, so if you die, the last thing you hear is him saying one of those lines. Given the themes of the rest of the game...

"Where the hell are you going, Walker?"

"Get the fuck back here!"

Jesus Christ.

I was lucky to record a Halo 3 video that- actually, it's better if you just see it.

Probably not the BEST glitch that happened to me, but it was the first one I thought of.

There was a weird one in the surprisingly good King Kong game. I just remember running through the water when some kind of alligator thing attacked me. I was able to break free and climb to safety, but turning around I see it flailing in the water with my arm. Of course the first thing to go through my retarded early teenage brain was "you can lose LIMBS in this game?!" That would have been surprisingly hardcore, but alas, it was only a glitch.

not much of a Glitch but. When I played World of Warcraft as an Undead I noticed there were always a few player corpses at the bottom of the Undead City elevator, which always seemed strange. I walked up to the door of the elevator on the top floor and opened up the chat to ask why the corpses were there, then suddenly the elevator dropped and my character was pushed by the closing door, into the vacant hole where the platform was supposed to be carrying me and fell to my death.

In Mechwarrior: Online I got stuck on top of the final remaining enemy. Neither of us could aim far enough up or down to kill each other so we had to wait out the timer. In the meantime we went for a stroll and had a delightful conversation over the absurdity of cheese.

I was playing WoW with a friend of mine when he got killed by the elevators in the Undercity, and his corpse fell through the world. When he hit the bottom of the zone he reappeared at the top of it and kept falling, a little to the side each time. I stayed there and watched him pop in every few minutes, falling out of the ceiling and going through the floor. He ended up falling all the way to the Stonetalon Mountains.

A friend of mine was playing Skyrim. This was on launch, so the game was still really glitchy. He had just gotten to Whiterun and explored it a little. Just like every other player he talked to Ysolda and got the quest about her wanting a mammoth tusk. He went outside and started looking for a mammoth. He was pretty low level, so he didn't really think that he would be able to fight a mammoth, but it was at least worth a try. Suddenly from nowhere a dead mammoth falls from the sky and lands right in front of him.
