Sony with Vita Memory Cards - The biggest problem is that the Vita doesn't COME WITH ONE. Even the 3DS comes with an SD card and you can buy higher capacity for WAY cheaper than Sony's proprietary stuff.

The Old Republic - I bet you anything some Star Wars geeks swiftly informed that guy that there ARE same-sex romances in the Expanded Universe.

SCV - Fair enough, but I would at least argue that the SC series KNOWS what it is. Plus the series also has plenty of fanservice for the ladies what with Sieg, Maxi, Mitsurugi and so on and is getting MORE with Sophie's son Patroklos and werewolf boy Z.W.E.I. I'm more interested in it being a big roster shakeup due to the series being set 17 years after IV.

That and it doesn't have relationships with creepy implications and pretend they're "teh most romantic EVAR!"

Feminism - Agreed, people should actually study their history a bit closer. People just use it because they're too gutless to at least be HONEST about their misogyny.

Oh, and is anyone really that excited for Soul Calibur V? I loved the second one, but the fourth one felt like a weak retread and the fifth one looks even worse to me.

I bought SC IV, I played it for a day then went back to SC III(love the strategy-ish campaign is has). The fourth one turned me off so much I've lost interest in all new installments to the series... even if Vader or Spawn or (that guy from Tekken (I think he was from Tekken anyway)) or Link is in it again.

Okay I hadn't thought of the negative effect My little pony could have on other shows. Although the interview with lauren faust suggests what they did was kinda riding on the line so it would be hard to actually imitate the shows efforts without the phrase "more trouble than it's worth" ringing in someone's ears. I will say this though. I saw a special on dora the explorer that pointed towards them having a special involving a unicorn king and that's what I consider a response to the ponies popularity. Probably a lot more horse related things but still the same kids stuff.

But ya know what would amuse me greatly? If hello kitty got another cartoon show and it was like my little pony but japanese. I'd watch that.

I don't think studios are aware enough to try re-creating MLP:FIM. It may result in more re-makes, but that's already happening so no one is going to notice. (Thundercats, Voltron, Pound Puppies, and My Little pony. Is it getting 80's in here is it just me?) It could result in similar animation styles and series spin offs.

I could see them attempting a MLP for boys, but I doubt they understand it's appeal well enough to pull that off. (Think the inverse of He-man -> She-ra)
