Your comparison between Soul Calibur and Twilight is interesting, but I think I've got far bigger problems with Twilight than the fact that Taylor Lautner's contract requires him to have his shirt off for the vast majority of the movie (as, I think, you do too). Until THOSE problems are fixed, I'm gonna continue complaining about it.

Oh, and is anyone really that excited for Soul Calibur V? I loved the second one, but the fourth one felt like a weak retread and the fifth one looks even worse to me.

Good ep, but the lack of coherency made it a bit jumpy. Maybe some sort of segway is a good idea for future eps like theese.

As far as games go, I've never understood the complaints against women showing skin and looking like models. Men show just as much and have far better muscles and looks than any regular guy. If women want to look less sexual in games, can we please get less sexual men? Maybe it's just because guys are used to typical game men looking like models in games so they and girls don't seem to notice what they actually look like? I don't know.

But Twillight portrays itself to be something it´s not. Soul Caliber is blatent fan service. Twillight is pretending to be something it´s not! Regardless, neither is completely neccesary according to me.

Frankly, porn belongs in porn. It´s okay to have beautiful people, maybe even a little fanservice, but there is no need to overdo it.

Seriously, why not just put it in porn?

Thank You! It always pisses me off when people don't understand the meaning of feminism and seem to swap it in and out when what they really meant was 'crazy *****.'

A feminist =/= a crazy *****.

Also, yes, we should not complain about Edward or Jacob in Twilight. I even think we should leave the sparkly vampire thing a rest. There is so much more wrong with the mere concept that is the Twilight series, that going after the superficial is like complaining about how silly Hitlers moustache is

I don't complain about the guys from Twilight, i complain about the unfortunate implications of Twilight.

Oh, and as long Friendship is magic stays good i don't care about bad reboots of bad 80s cartoons.

So lets get this right,

Gay marriage = Destroying innocence
letting someone burn to death in hot lava, decapitating and dismembering people with a lazer sword and the full genocide of a planet to prove a point=Fine.

People are weird...

next week coherency? has this show ever been coherent?

On the point about the My little ponies, you do realize this has already been happening for the last 5 years right? new batman cartoon, new spiderman, new strawberry shortcake, new scooby doo, new looney toons, conan movie, he-man movie, avengers cartoon. MLP isn't some new thing where they take an old property and remake it, It just happened to be the diamond in the rough in this cycle.

Sorry, Bob, but Ron Paul already doesn't exist on this plane of reality.

Also, an addendum to the race issue: If there's a racial controversy and you don't agree, consider for a moment you might actually be wrong. It's not just the black friend, or the tokenist attitudes that's the problem. It often comes from a place of "I'm not bothered, so you're wrong."

Or better, "You hurt my feelings by asking me to be considerate, and that's wrong because my feelings are hurt! SCREW YOU!"

Which brings me to feminism, much of the response against feminism is because it hurts the feelings of people who desperately oppose consideration for anyone but them.

I don't care about the attractiveness of the male leads, or how they run around in next to nothing. I'm bisexual, so of course I like that, but I think anyone seriously that worked up is just fucking insecure.

Of course, what does trouble me about Twilight is its portrayal of the Edward/Bella RELATIONSHIP as anything but creepy...

As for the rest... yeah, pretty much agree. Especially the bit about feminism, a term which is mainly used as an insult by misogynists who don't like being called out on their misogyny.

Oh good god, I hope not! I don't think I could stand shitty rehashings of Jem, Rainbow Brite, or She-Ra.

Just a quick note on Bob's closing bit and images there... Strawberry Shortcake's been remade already, and the original Jem is back on the air (usually right after MLP, which I'm sure is intentional.) I do think there's a market for a Rainbow Brite reboot, so that's my vote for '80s cartoon most likely to get destroyed' there.
