Uhh.... What? This episode wasn't even about how the 90's sucked. Did you even watch it?

No I came here first to complain about this 90s month stuff. I'm not feeling it.
So what your saying is that you commented on this episode without watching it. Or at least made a comment that's not specifically about this episode...

You may not know this but that's against the rules of conduct.

Then I'll get a warning for it, don't rules Nazi especially when you consider that you're just adding to any possible derailment of this thread by continuing the discussion.

I still stand by my comment though I don't like this 90s month stuff, it's just not interesting. I wish he'd get back to ya know movie stuff.

"A Star is Bourns"
Also famous for giving birth to the term "Boo-urns!"

"A Star is Burns". He mentioned it in the video.

And I loved The Critic. Kinda sad it didn't last as long as it could've.

This was a great show. My favourite bits were the United Nations school Jay's son attended. The student body included stone-headed Easter Islanders and Klingons.

Yes, yes to Everything Bob just said. Things I still say from 'the critic'

"buy my book! buy my book!"
"You can't lock a raptor in a closet! It's too Smart!"
and
"Pigeons sure seem to like the sound of my voi... (*gagging sounds*)"

and "this is a duke-tastrophe!"

Wasn't the critic on Comedy Central for a while too? Maybe it was just reruns.

One of my favorite lines from the series comes from the Atom Films shorts,

"Jay, would you come in here? There's something I want to share with you."
"I hope it's sex... or candy!"

"It stinks! It stinks! It stinks!"

"Yes Mr. Sherman, everything stinks."

I'm also a Simpsons fan who considers The Critic crossover episode to be hilarious, despite Matt's disowning of it. Compared to what he's let the Simpsons become nowadays, I'm surprised he had so much artistic pride back in the day.

(And yes, I'm aware that the above quote is from a different Simpsons episode)

Funnily enough I tracked down the show after seeing you use the same macro of the guy I recognised from that one Simpson's episode and watched both seasons in a weekend. Season 1 was great, season 2 was pretty good. Kind of wished you'd done this before I'd PI'd it, could've saved me 5 minutes of googling!

This series always needs more recognition it's still relevant and cheers for shining a light onto it

During a Siskel remembrance piece, Ebert linked this montage of them on the show. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHfMpq7H9qQ]
