So he already have a thread about your overpower runs, now let's discuss your most unlucky ones.

I had everything to kill Mom's Heart and maybe eventually Satan just now. Goat Head, Lil Brimstone, Holy Mantle, Midas Touch, Unicorn Horn, The Humble Bundling, Tons of health, damage and speed...
Until I come across a re-roll room and thought "Usually takes a few seconds before re-rolling so I just go in grab a bunch of shit and get out". Oh I was mistakes, I was fast, but not fast enough and I was turned into that fly dude with Tecnology 2, extremely low damage and the most agravating thing of them all... Every fucking time I got hit there was a chance of teleporting to new room. I could only beat Mom's Heart because the game was kind enough to give me a Bible... And then I went to Sheol. And that's was pretty much the end of my run in a way, everytime Satan hit me I teleported to another room and had to start all over. So I used to Bible in the Satan fight and killed myself... There was no way I was winning that.
Fucking Re-roll room...

So I shared mine, now it's your turn.

This wasn't in rebirth, it was the original binding of isaac, but to this day it has pissed me off.

So I had a run going with absolutely amazing items. I had a bunch of damage buffs, I had technology, I had spirit of darkness so I could fly, and I had a shitload of spirit hearts (they were extending off the screen) as well as 2 normal hearts. I get guppy's paw in a red chest, and decide to use it to give myself 6 more spirit hearts (and now I'm going spirit hearts only). Problem? I had that damn skull trinket and I couldn't remember what it did. I go into mom's boss room, get hit, get teleported out. Do it again, get hit, get teleported out. Then I remember, that trinket teleports you to your last cleared room whenever you get hit and you have 1 red heart or less.'

Ended up being unable to beat mom despite having ridiculous amounts of health and being crazy powerful, all because I couldn't do the fight perfectly.

Let that be a lesson to you kids, learn all the items, and if you don't know what something is it's always better to look it up in the wiki before you take it.

This is why I feel like there should have been a way to drop trinkets (other than the tick).

Don't remember my unlucky runs but one that comes to mind was when I got curse of the labyrinth followed by Krampus in the Devil Room.

Urgh triple boss fight.

There is a way to drop trinkets. You know the key/button that toggles between your active card or pill when you have starter deck or little baggy, respectively? If you hold that for about five seconds, you drop your trinket(s) and any cards or pills you might be holding.

That's in rebirth but it wasn't in the original.

I can't recall the exact item combinations but my least favourite runs have always been the "I'm near unkillable but have no damage" runs. I'd guess my biggest fails probably involved picking up 9 Lives without thinking so I gain 9 extra lives but lose all my HP except the one heart the item gives you. I've also been known to gamble an entire run away in deals with the devil to take 2 Guppy items but then to never have the 3rd one show up. It's even worse when I royally screw up and combine the 2 fails into 1 super massive fail.

As a note for future runs, the reroll rooms aren't on a timer. They're actually keyed to some area on the floor in the middle of the giant die. Not sure exactly where the area is beyond just "in the middle" but you can spend as long as you want in those rooms, including collecting the consumables around the edge, as long as you don't step into the "activation" area. You're totally right though in saying that those rooms can screw you over bad. Thankfully, they can also be your savior if you find a full character reroll on a terrible run.

My mistake, I scanned the original post instead of reading it properly and thought we were talking about Rebirth. You're right, no way to drop 'em in vanilla/WotL.

I was doing Darkness Falls Challenge, which forces you as Eve with a few choice items (Razor Blade, Sacrificial Dagger, Fear Shot, and the noraml Dead Bird and Whore of Babylon) and no item rooms throughout the run. I made it to Satan (the final boss of the challenge) with ludicrously low health, but thankfully I had Dead Cat and Mom's Knife, on top of Eve's crazy damage via Whore of Babylon. I killed The Fallen and both forms of Satan without taking a hit, Satan was going through his bloody death shake animation, when one of those stupid Kamikaze Leeches exploded from Satan stepping on it while inflicted the final blow. Satan died, the leech died, and the explosion killed me and reset me outside of the rooms with one heart because of Dead Cat.

And when I went back in to fight Satan again, I was so butthurt that a nearly unavoidable explosion stopped me from completing the challenge that I completely whiffed it. I had eight more lives to kill Satan without taking damage while using Mom's Knife, and I kept losing due to that fight's stupid attacks. The Fallen splitting up and both of them simultaneously shooting the four-way brimstone to immediately coat the room in death, Satan's waves of tears, and of course that final stage against Satan's feet where those Kamikaze Leeches would get killed by Satan's foot and catch me in the blast.

Satan has two of the things I hate the most about Isaac bosses: spawning tons of bullshit enemies in the middle of the fight, and hard to predict, really fast attack patterns where the most reliable way to dodge them is to keep moving in a circle.
