The cutest - and deadliest - Pokemon X/Y team.

My goal by the time I am bored of this game is to somehow get a team of the six cutest Pokemon ever that can kick some serious ass, but I'm having a hard time deciding on which cuties to go with. Generally, the cutest ones tend to not be the very strongest, but I would love some advice on cuties that can learn some serious moves without having to evolve to something else to do it.

The two I know I want right now will be Riolu and Goodra, which fills in the niche for a fast fighting type and a gooey dragon type. Sylveon will probably work as my Fairy type, though I was wondering if I could get something even smaller like a Cleffa that could have any amount of power.

I can't yet decide if Espurr can even count as cute or if it just tips the scale to creepy.

Advice, anyone? I haven't played a single Pokemon game since Red/Blue and I'm at a bit of a loss with the enormous amount of new Pokemon out there.

Togekiss is adorable, but is a fucking powerhouse. Ditto (as in the same) with Jirachi and Celebi. They're a bit impractical to have in-game though.

Klefki is pretty good (good typing plus excellent ability). Not great stats though.

Does Azumarill count? It's sorta on the cuter side, and has high HP and defenses, and I've definitely heard of people incorporating one into their competitive teams. I'll also second Togekiss. All the eeveelutions are pretty cute, and generally solid Pokemon. Leavanny is debatably cute, but learns a lot of powerful moves. It was one of my favorites in Black and White.

Most of the cute Pokemon I can think of are pre-evolutions and baby Pokemon, which doesn't really help you much, since they don't have the best stats.

Klefki definitely counts as cute.

The Eeveelutions are adorable, but I'm trying to find the very smallest, most unassuming looking 'mons for this team. I just like the thought of going into a battle with a stranger with this group of tiny baby 'mons, then wiping the ground with the other team's faces. Whenever I start in video games like this, I set nonsensical goals to meet. My goal in Skyrim was to be able to shoot giants and kill them with one arrow without much abuse of the super powerful weapon loophole with alchemy/enchanting/smithing.

Chansey might qualify, I actually don't have one yet. There's SO many in X/Y that I don't know where to find them. I don't know much about Chansey's stats these days, I just remember it being hard to make much use of in Red/Blue.

And I'm actually in the process of trying to find a Togepi to start training! I always knew that would have to be on my team. That's why it's fun to try and assemble this team! Because most of the babies and pre-evolutions are so much less powerful, it's a game of trying to balance stats and types to still have an indestructable team despite the obvious handicaps of lower stats in the babies and pre-evolutions.

Do you think Chansey classifies as cute? Could use that if you want.
nah nah nah nah, Blissey. It's just as funny looking only it has a MASSIVE amount of HP.

Also, Reuniclus and Pikachu.

Are you willing to go for pre-evolutions? Most fully evolved 'mons are less cute than their younger forms

Dedenne, Plusle/Minun, Castrform, Rotom, Luvdisk, Wormadam, Pacharisu, Lopunny, Chimeco, Lumineon, Frosslass, Audino, Whimsicott/Lilligant, Cinccino, Emolga, Meowstic, Carbink, there are some fully evolved/no evolution 'mons to get you started that are cute in my opinion :D No idea how strong they are though

As for Goodra, it's a psuedo legendary so it REALLY doesn't count for your 'unassuming' team, although I too find it cute!

What's Pumpkaboo's potential? I know they're not fully evolved, but damn they're so cute ;_;

Here's a sprite dex so you can make a visual check for cuteness! http://pokemondb.net/pokedex/national

The majority of mons on my team right now could be considered "cute". Klefki, Togekiss, Ditto, and Azumarill all fall under that category, and they're all fairly strong.

If you want cute and deadly you can't pass Klefki. That guy is a friggin beast. Thunderwave, substitute, spikes, foul play with Prankster. It is annoying to deal with and is the perfect Aegislash counter.
My perfect Aegislash counter is Flamethrower ;)

OT: Glaceon is cute as all hell. Plus I love Snorlax, high HP combined with Careful nature then EV trained for HP, SpDef and a little Def PLUS Leftovers makes it a god!

I'm experimenting at the moment with a different number of teams for different reasons.

One team is being built for the sole purpose of catching wild Pokemon for the Pokedex.

Another is being prepared for the sole use of human vs human battles (IV/EV training package)

And a final team designed to take on various Pokemon trainers/gym leaders in the Battle Chateau.

Since I don't currently own a Ditto of my own I've been having a friend who owns X to try breeding me a few select Pokemon for each of the 3 teams (not the whole selection process but 2-3 Pokemon bred per team).

Also Espurr will most likely be on all 3 teams regardless, that Pokemon has seem some shit I tell ya.

Okay so, here's my dream team so far.

-Klefki
-Azumarill
-Espurr
-Togekiss
-Dedenne
-Blissey

And I might change one of those to Riolu, I want to see how high I can get his stats first. And of course, each one would be holdng appropriate items to either boost their attacks or let them restore health when needed, depending on their weaknesses.

I think that team covers a really good number of types with a lot of strengths that can combat their weaknesses. Several that are just attack crazy and several that will be good bullet sponges when I need that, and every single one of them is downright adorable and tiny. The most pastel, cutest team ever that could destroy your soul.

Any notable Pokes that I am leaving out of this team? I'm having a hell of a time catching a Klefki for some reason. Why is it that I kept running into them before I was trying to find them and now that I want and need one, I can't seem to find the little jerk anywhere?

Edit: By the way, if anyone is reading this and needs Pokerus for whatever reason, feel free to PM me. I have tons of infectious little guys who would love to meet and infect you.

I'm training a Shuckle for the first time, and boy am I not disappointed. I caught one at level 44 and it has more Defense and Special Defense than my level 96 Greninja has Special Attack

The Ralts-Kirlia-Gardevoir line is adorable. Until Gardevoir I guess, at that point it's more "majestic and elegant."

Raichu is a pretty fucking good electric type. Adorable too.

I guess since I mostly put Pokemon I think are cute into my team, I should say what my current X team consists of. (I've been going through the game slowly. Only six badges right now. Been procrastinating going through the snowy town.) And just to be neat I'll put them in according to level.

Pokemon-Nickname-Gender-Level

Delphox-Kirche-Female-52

Gardevoir-Leefa-Female-49

Raichu-Tiffania-Female-48

Gogoat-Louise-Female-47

Lucario-Jet-Male-47

Hawlucha-Falcodor-Male-45
---

Three of them are named after Zero no Tsukaima characters. Specifically the Delphox, Raichu, and Gogoat. The Gardevoir is a slight change of spelling of a character from something else. The Lucario is named Jet because...why not? And the Hawlucha is named Falcodor because I put together Falco and Luchador.
